Steal for the Bucks. Those guys were scrubs anyway. Even if they lose Redick, it's not like they're out much.

Okay, I just added Philly as a choice. Because imo they are in the running for the winner.

Milwaukee secured the 8th seed further. And Philly despite being top 3 in the Redick race doesn;t blow assets and gets to keep its pick this year.

Harris is a decent get for Redick, but with Harkless also at sf a first like they were rumored to have on the table would have been better imo.

Still, this is a trade that makes sense for both. And highly casual fans can further get confused over which if Dunleavy/Redick are the same player. Win/win/win/win?

Tobias Harris is a decent prospect... and still VERY young.

It's less than Orlando fans might have been expecting, but it's still a good deal for Orlando.

MIL also getting Ayon and Ish Smith.

Hard to grade - MIL getting best player in deal, but will they have to overpay to keep him?

ORL does ok. They weren't going to pay 2 shooting guards, so getting something for Redick is a plus.

I'll call it pretty even, but if MIL can keep Reddick deal swings in their favor IMO.

Ayon and Ish both have had some moments so far. I like it.

I think Milwaukee came out slightly ahead but it makes a degree of sense for both franchises.

I agree. Many Magic fans overrated JJ. He built himself into a solid player, but he just isnt the right age for a rebuilding team. Harris looks like the type of player Hennigan is assembling for a young and growing team.

If this turns out like the Howard trade (getting assets that the teams thought they "might" turn out and they most certainly did) then I will be happy. I'd like to see how Beno does since Nelson is reportedly out for a while and see how that develops. many of the bucks fans seem really high on Tobias, so hopefully that'll work out as well

I for 1 am happy with the trade for the Magic. We would have probably lost JJ at the end of the season for less on a S&T deal, got rid of Ish and Ayon who had no future with the rebuild, and get chance to size up a couple of rookies with some decent PT. Picking up a serviceable PG at the same time makes it at least a win for Orlando. If the Bucks give JJ some decent PT then it's a win for them too!

I disagree with most opinions here, and think WTF are Milwaukee doing? Orlando got 3 intriguing young players for a one-dimensional FA-to-be, a back-up PF and a 3rd-string PG.

This is such a Milwaukee Bucks move. They'll probably give him the $40m/4 years his agent wants. They always seem intent on building an expensive 7th/8th-seed team. They have achieved it.

Meanwhile, Orlando continues to add young-talent and tank, and there is no better way to rebuild.

^^

That seems to be the Bucks plan. Spend a ton of money to be average. It's wonderful being a Bucks fan.

In this deal, I think you're overvaluing what Milwaukee gave up. Harris has a chance to be a rotation player. Udrih is useful in a different settting (3rd string emergency point guard on a good team). Lamb is garbage.

I'd be surprised if anyone Orlando got became a good player for them.

^^^

Orlando, by rights, shouldn't have got anything close to that for him, given he is an upcoming FA. Indy got Barbosa for a late-2nd last year and I can't fathom how Redick's value is that much higher.

Yes, I thought it was clear I was comparing the Barbosa-Indiana trade last year to the Redick-Bucks trade this year.

Because Redick is much, much better than Barbosa?

Milwaukee gets a steal talent-wise, and Redick should fit in with Jennings well. He's a bit older but should be a solid, steadying presence for the Bucks. ORL gets one prospect worth mentioning, but its better than nothing. Like it for both teams

JJ remains a very underrated player.. @ .590 TS% and a 2:1
Ast/to ratio. Scoring 15 pts per and 4.5 assists per, so its not in minimal playing time either.

Bucks focusing on locking down that first round exit vs the Heat. 4-0 sweep. Best trade of the day sadly.
