Random milestones to show how long Kobe's been around

Post#1 » by BattleTested » Thu Feb 21, 2013 8:36 am

For instance-

Kobe started in his first all star game when Kyrie Irving was 5 years old. This year, Kyrie Irving made his first all star game, and Kobe was still starting.
Kobe was a 2x all star starter and NBA champion before Bill Clinton left office.
Kobe was a 3 time champion by the time Lebron James finished his Junior year of high school.
Half of Kobe's years existing as a human being have come as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kobe scored 9 straight 40 point games when Michael Jordan and John Stockton were still in the league.

Lakers fan since 99.

I started my first day in elementary school when Irving was 5 years old. This year I am in my junior year in college and Irving made his first all star game.

I was in second grade right at the time when Clinton admitted his sex with Lewinsky

I was in third grade by the time NATO began to bombing Yugoslavia.

20 of my years existing as a human being have comes as a member of the People's Republic of China.

I got my third iPhone when Steve Jobs was still alive.

Get it? Make up some of your own if you do. Ask me what I'm on if you don't.

Edited:

I am just telling you that everyone is unique in the world and your statement can be used on any player.

No not any player who played long enough would fit that statement. Lets see Nash was an allstar when... nope... and is still and all star... oops nope... Jason Kidd was an allstar when... Kidd is still an allstar... dang nope...

Your personal milestone's don't relate to anything and show no timespan in relation to another timespan...

You missed the entire point of the thread.

Kobe was an allstar when KD was both 3 foot 5 and when he was 6 foot 10 8-)

Kobe was an allstar when Oden looked 40 and when Oden looked 40

Kobe just joined Twitter but I had to call my friend from my home phone to his home phone to talk about the first game I watched him play.

Kevin Garnett, Jason Kidd and Grant Hill are still around from that ASG. Not sure how these are milestones, its just being born at the right or wrong time I guess.

Kobe is third on the list of all time playoff games played, at 220.

24 games behind Big Shot Bob, who is number 1, somewhat amazingly.

17 behind Kareem.

In a fitting tribute to Buss, six of the top ten all time playoff games played leaders (awkward phrasing I realize) were Lakers at some point. Horry, Kareem, Kobe, Shaq (who round out the top four), Fish, Magic.

Also Kobe was drafted when I graduated highschool, which is crazy to me.

Haha ok, I'll give you that one, and it's true Oden probably looks older then that! Hell if he had gray hair he'd look just like Bill Russell lol.

I'm almost 40 too, most people still think I'm in my 20s though. Thank god because I still love women in their 20s and my job and wallet aren't quite good enough yet to overcome a little aging

They put Michael Cooper on Kobe when he worked out for the Lakers and Kobe schooled him.
17 years later on the ASG, they put him on Lebron and Kobe also schooled him

Any player that's been an All Star spanning 5 presidential terms and has 30,000 points in the bank, yes. But wow, you really missed the mark.

Anyways, here's some more-

Kobe was in the league when Bill Clinton was still thought of as a family man.
Kobe was an all star when the next big end of the world event was Y2K.
Kobe played in an all star game opposite an in shape Shawn Kemp and Bulls version of Michael Jordan.
Kobe was winning championships when the Simpsons were still good.
Kobe had put up a 29/7/6 postseason run en route to his second championship before 9/11.
Kobe was a 3x champion, 3x All NBA first teamer, and 5x all star by the time Youtube rolled around.
Lakers fan since 99.
