I always like these. I've certainly been in my share of them.

I don't remember if I ever wrote it here, but I didn't think Memphis would go to such lengths to dump salary this year. If someone had proposed that Speights trade I certainly would have said (loudly) that it was too much to give.

I thought the Warriors had taken too big a risk putting so much stock into injury-plagued players; despite a recent slump they've done fairly well even though those guys have been injured!

I'm sure I said more dumb stuff. May come back to this later.

pick, Fields is all NY has left at SG. I don't think they are going to trade him.

Boy was I wrong. Thank you TOR Raptors

I thought that there was a legitimate chance that Denver would not make the playoffs.

Over the summer in many threads I held the position that adding James Harden to that current Rockets team would not significantly improve the team, therefore it was not worth it to send out multiple young assets. That it was better to try to develop those guys.

I'll take my crow bearded, please!

I thought the Wolves wouldn't have significant injuries to every player on the roster, boy is my face red!

Got to admit it... I was surprised Presti traded Beard. As much as I hate the guy, I seriously thought Bennett would man up for the tax.

I am also surprised that LeBron, as amazing as he already is as a player (an all-time great one already), just keeps getting so much better. It's not that he Improves. All the greats do. It's how much he improves. A bit depressing from a notSonic perspective.

Not surprised about Stern's position on moving the Kings to Seattle. In the end he's trying to rectify a serious f'up on an otherwise brilliant executive career with the NBA. Sadly, two wrongs don't make a right.

Like many I'm surprised Ferry didn't take what he could get for Smith. It will be interesting to see how that mess unfolds the rest of the season and this summer.

Thought the Lakers would be a lot better than what they've managed so far. Unless they catch fire and demonstrate they're legit championship material I have to wonder about their chances of resigning Howard.

And I'm a bit stunned Brooks remains so rigid with his rotations. He still hasn't figured out a way to get his talented youngsters (PJ3 & Lamb) the playing time they need individually to help the team collectively. Brooks still has time this season to figure it out, but I have my doubts.
notSonics 2016
Starters - Trey, Roberson, KD, Ibaka, Adams
Rotation - Payne, Waiters, Green, McGary, Kanter
Bench - Collison, Christon, Brodgon, Huestis
Stash - Johnson, Abrine
Cut - Morrow
Trade - Singler
Draft - Brogdon
FA - Green

I'd like all the folks arguing with me that Dallas was going to be improved this year to step up.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Ok i'll eat some crow smothered with beard.

I didnt like the Harden trade. I thought giving him the max was risky business and i really wanted to tank for a top 5 pick.

Even with it I saw them 4th in the Atlantic. But yeah. Its been significantly worse then I think anyone could have expected -- Bynum's never missed a whole season before. And Vucevic has looked better then expected.

not to mention Calderon himself is irrelevant, Memphis just wanted any expiring and Ed Davis. you don't get points for Memphis screwing up.

glad to see i still have a spot in your heart

If we had a Baron Davis + 1st for Calderon that Rapsobsessed7 posted 40 times, four years ago, then you can be right.

I thought Brandon Roy could play 15-20 minutes of basketball a night....not 15-20 minutes a season.

I honestly don't have a lot of crow to eat this year. I said Atlanta wouldn't trade Smith, I was right on that. I said Eric Maynor's value on RealGM was wildly overblown and his value was minimal at best, right on there. I said that I expected Batum to play a lot better under a coach that knew how to use him, I was right there as well. I also was really high on Drummond before the draft, looks like I was right to be so.

You might have been the ONLY one who thought that it was bad for Philly. I don't think they make it if given the same opportunity again, but Bynum even averaging ~50games per season for his next contract would still make it a good deal for them.

For me, it's the Wizards. Thought they'd be eons ahead of where they are now.

For all those that said Varejao wasn't injury prone and worth an arm and a leg, please stand up!

Also all those that said the Suns would sell off Gortat for chump change this trade deadline, you probably won't step up to the plate but it should be shoved in your face.
