NOH/DET/MIN-3 team trade!!

Post#1 » by moses22 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 5:20 am

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine/?tradeId=alswogo
DET gets-kevin love,eric Gordon

NOH gets-brandon knight,Kyle singler,Charlie v

Min gets-Andre Drummond,Rodney stuckey,Austin rivers

Why for the pistons-they build around gordon, love and Monroe with enough money to fill out the roster and this move makes them a top 4 team in the east

Why for the hornets-they get two young prospects with one being able to play Pg & SG while getting out of Gordon's contract

Why for the timberwolves-they get a very productive center who some feel has all star potential while getting a young prospect in rivers who's getting better each game that can pay either guard position(he's a work in progress)

Definitely, but Detroit wouldn't do that.

Weird how all of the projected wins are at a negative

How are you not a Pistons homer? That is bad for the Wolves. Pretty bad.

As a wolves fan, this is laughably bad.
Send Eric Gordon to the wolves if you even want to consider this, along with removing rivers.

Pistons are not trading Drummond. Love and Gordon are always hurt no thanks.

That's even worse for Detroit. No Pistons fan would ever trade Drummond unless they get either Kevin Durant or Lebron James.

How is this good for Detroit?

They trade Drummond for Kevin Love? Are you kidding me with this? Love may be better at this moment but Drummond has the potential to be considerably better. MN should be cut from this deal.

Gordon/Monroe/Drummond is a much better core than Gordon/Love/Monroe. Love/Monroe would be the worst defensive frontcourt in the league while Monroe/Drummond could be one of the best.

Andre Drummond is 19.

As good as Kevin Love is, Drummond has the potential to be as good or better. Drummond can block and alternate shots. He is extremely athletic and can run the floor better than most big-men his size. His athleticism and defensive abilities makes him a better fit next to Monroe. He does have a lot to learn but he is untouchable. Eric Gordon does nothing for me. Might as well keep Knight at the two or try and sign OJ Mayo in the off season which is another move I wouldn't want them to do.

Do you even know how old Kevin Love is? You act like this guy is at the end of his career. 24 years old and a top 3 power forward, and is extremely unique. Only trading Drummond for Lebron talk makes you look really, really silly. This is way too good for Detroit. Go ahead and cut Minnesota out, they wouldn't touch this deal. Drummond has a lot more to prove before he reaches Kevin Love value.

If MIN didn't want Love, highly unlikely, I like this for all teams. I am also not a fan of any of these teams and haven't seen as much of Drummond as others, but it's not as bad for MIN as some are making it out to be.
PG: Russell Westbrook, Reggie Jackson
SG: Andre Roberson, Anthony Morrow, Jeremy Lamb
SF: Kevin Durant, KJ McDaniels, Perry Jones
PF: Serge Ibaka, Nick Collison, Robert Covington

Not much value here outside of Drummond, Stuckey is just salary and Austin Rivers has shown nothing to think he'll be anything special. If Wolves are going to move a young proven all star they need more than just one upside piece like a high pick.

This is the folly that most fans have for the best, young player on their team, particularly if their team has no great stars and they are lottery-bound. You have to hope for something.

Drummond has lots of potential, like lottery picks every year. There isn't any reason to think he won't be great, but he's 19 -- stuff always happens as young players engage in a career in the NBA. But even if nothing ever happens, sit back and tell me the likelyhood that he becomes the #2 statistical guy in the NBA for two staight years, like Love? Love has shown he can do it.

Dreams are great, but live in expected value.

You realize Drummond was posting up a PER of 22.5 right shrink? And he had a 18/18 game this season right? He was playing fantastic defense and is a dominant force on the boards and on the paint right?

We are not talking about dreams or potential, we're talking about what the guy has been doing in reality. Drummond is a monster at the age of 19 and he has potential to be more than what Dwight Howard is. He has potential to be THE dominant big man in the league. A SUPER STAR.

Is he going to be a super star? We don't know, what we know is, at his rookie year, at the age of 19 he is already producing at an all star level.

Detroit doesn't trade Drummond for anything less than LeBron James or Kevin Durant. He is as untouchable as it gets nowadays.
