(I admit my time horizon extends a little more long range.. ie. Rio...)

Don't forget Carl English. Leading the ACB in scoring with 19.43 per game. Andy Rautins is also available and he recently won the NBDL 3pt shooting competition.

Well, I hadn't forgotten about Rautins,,, so that was intentional on my part.

English is another guy, who I had thought is better at getting splinters than winning games at this point, but I suppose I can still be convinced,,,,,, if only based on team need. (!)

English brings shooting and experience at the 2. You definitely need to have him on the team. He is killing it in the ACB.

Sold. Especially considering the faux-hawk. :D

English and Stauskas will shoot it from the 2.

(CJo can be 3rd PG/SG. Solid backcourt insurance.)

(thanks for the info and updates, H.)

Did the video win you over?

Maybe this one will change your stance on Andy Rautins.

You can never have too many shooters.

pretty sure by 2016 c. joseph will probably be the 2nd best pg (given the amount of experience he will have by then). ennis will probably be just coming out of college by then. i just don't think pangos is that good.

kyle wiltjer and dyshawn pierre may also become viable options for the 3 spot

rathan-mays and rautins are two good shooting guards, same with that kid going to maine right now.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either

O yes, I'm actually quite committed to Joseph backing up both the 1 and 2 at this point. In fact I think he's the primary backup at both positions (as of now). That's my problem... we're thin in the backcourt. I'm not yet exited by the others.. especially at the 2. CJo becomes disproportionately important in my mind,, actually.

----so, we actually agree on the PG Kabongo/Joseph/Ennis/Pangos pecking order...

Then again, my opinion doesn't get paid... lol

In 2016,,, as I said,,,, I have that 1st rounder as the primary backup to both the 1 and the 2. "Disproportionately important", etc... Followed by Ennis and Pangos at the 1 and no one in particular at the 2.

You must be thrilled. Based on, ya know, his draft status in 2011 (29th)...

Or would you prefer Corey Joseph to start over Kabongo1 or Stauskas2 projecting to Rio2016? Anyone else suggesting that?? I'm all ears.

i would rather him start over kabongo. without question. not even close. you want a shoot first, fast paced, pg who cant really shoot from deep on an olympic team working around wiggins and the big men?

That's fair enough...

Pass-first vs. scoring PG will always be up for debate. And 3 years is a long time...

You're forgetting about Devoe Joseph, he's a lock at sg.

I see I was beat a page earlier by the suggestion of Olivier Hanlan. Not sure if he is the best freshman SG in the country, but he is in the discussion, and a frontrunner for the ACC Freshman of the Year. He is helped by playing for a middle of the road team in Boston College, that gives him more opportunities than other elite recruits.

But he is a key part from the resurgence of BC from epic terrible in 2012 to at least mildly competitive in 2013. He is the one with the ball in his hands at key moments (re Duke a few weeks ago); BX may become fairly good in two years because the entire rotation is frosh and sophomore's and they do not have the talent for early NBA departures.

Certainly deserves to start getting some attention.

He is not from Montreal either - he is from Gatineau (which is the basically Ottawa, but the Quebec side of the river)
