McGee may or may not have been oozing with potential but imo the bigger factor was that in '09 we were in the Rubio sweepstakes and Steph Curry was a consolation prize. Asking for a McGee kicker was just a tad too much.

Not taking the alleged offer last summer was inexcusable.

Bingo, not trading McGee back then is a defensible move, putting yourself out of the Harden sweepstakes with the New Orleans trade is unforgivable.

Yeah, I watched that game in disbelief - as Parker dominated Paul at both ends. Granted, Parker had a little help from his friends, but SA was playing without Leonard - and it made no difference. Everyone on SA passes well and shoots well and buys into the system - all the way to the backup center. I'm still not sure how Parker scores so well inside. He's what - 6'0 maybe 180, not as good an athlete as Paul, not real explosive or super-fast to the hoop, but he's pretty much unstoppable.

I think Parker is as good of an athlete as Paul. I never considered Paul to be particularly athletic or explosive. He's just incredibly savvy and skilled with the ball.

Ditto. Also, Parker's game has been incredible this season. He has awesome fakes, spins, and general post moves once he's down low.

Not in that game. 32 points on 23 shots isn't too bad at all. If he played like that more often, he might even deserve his salary. But he won't. Gay's $18 million a year held Memphis back, it'll hold Toronto back, and it would have had the Wizards treading water. Don't regret Gay, regret Harden.

No thanks. I'll regret both...

in other news Memphis has won 7 straight. Not bad for a team that is a "mess".

I'm not surprised. I didn't think they'd lose much without Rudy Gay.

Mike Conley and Tony Allen are great, great perimeter defenders. Zbo is rebounding at an elite level and Gasol is just doing it all. Tayshaun Prince still has a lot left.

Their bench has also ben playing well.

They play Miami on Friday and Miami has had trouble with Memphis the last two seasons. Should be a good matchup.

Irving to miss a game with hyperextended knee.

Let the tank wars begin...

Tobias Harris with 2 nice games for Orlando so far. They got him for an impending free agent...nicely done Orlando.

Noted both Harris's stat-line and that of Vucevic....and we have Vesely waiving a towel with 6th pick on-it.

SAC take the Heat into 2xOT before losing.

And Cleveland beat Chicago

I know. Sucks so bad we didn't pick him that year. Image this team with him on it.

Would make this years draft a lot more clear. Still gotta go best player but no way to do that and get a center as good as Nikola V and one of Victor, Otto, CJ McCollum, Smart

At least we got Beal last draft.

The problem with Vucecic, despite his really good numbers, is that he's a pitiful defender. Very soft inside. But with that being said, he is light years ahead of Singleton or Vesely.

The Milwaukee win is the painful part. I'm actually rooting for Cleveland, Detroit, Philly and Toronto to continue to play well (Sacramento, Pheonix and New Orleans too).

Basically, I want everyone in front of us to win more, and for Milwaukee to lose more, so that 5 teams are hovering right in that 35-37 win area at the end of the year. If we play well enough down the stretch to finish with 38 wins, we go to the playoffs. If we merely play reasonably well and finish with 30-32 wins, there won't be any real ground lost in the tank race.
