Playoff Prediction Contest

Post#1 » by floppymoose » Fri Apr 19, 2013 10:07 pm

revisiting a tradition from prior seasons...

The idea is that you pick the winners in each round of the nba playoffs, both conferences.

Scoring is:
2 points per correct round 1 winner
3 points per correct round 2 winner
5 points per correct conference finals winner
7 points per correct championship winner

You can edit your picks up to tipoff of first game, Saturday, NOON PDT. Any posts edited after that won't count. So you don't have much time to get your picks in.

An example entry (not my real one):

WC1: OKC,LAC,SAS,DEN
WC2: OKC,SAS
WC3: OKC

EC1: MIA,BKN,NYK,IND
EC2: MIA,NYK
EC3: MIA

Finals: MIA

Bob Myers, June 7, 2018: "“It’s not in my job description to please NBA fans. It’s to win, end of story. I don’t need to be entertained, I just need to win. That’s all it is. That’s all I was hired to do. Win.”

So far my first round picks are all at least tied in their series. All but MEM are ahead.

But with Westbrook out I'm not feeling good about my championship predictions for OKC.

And now all 8 series are led by the teams I picked. Why didn't I go to Vegas?
