Bass is better than Speights..... this said, I don't think it's worth it to do a deal.
Sure, Bass is scoring almost 11 points/game, whereas Speights is only getting about half that. But Bass is also playing about 28 minutes/game, and that much time really isn't going to be available in Golden State (barring injuries, in which case we're in trouble anyway). Granted, Speights could probably earn more than the <12 minutes/game he's getting now if he played better. But factoring in that Bass' salary is 2x Speights, requiring us to include guys like Ezeli and Nedovic, I wouldn't do the deal. Ezeli, if he gets healthy, is a decent back-up in his own right, and I don't think we've seen what Nedovic may become capable of.
The deal is a "pass" for me, if it's as suggested.
