Bass is better than Speights..... this said, I don't think it's worth it to do a deal.

Sure, Bass is scoring almost 11 points/game, whereas Speights is only getting about half that. But Bass is also playing about 28 minutes/game, and that much time really isn't going to be available in Golden State (barring injuries, in which case we're in trouble anyway). Granted, Speights could probably earn more than the <12 minutes/game he's getting now if he played better. But factoring in that Bass' salary is 2x Speights, requiring us to include guys like Ezeli and Nedovic, I wouldn't do the deal. Ezeli, if he gets healthy, is a decent back-up in his own right, and I don't think we've seen what Nedovic may become capable of.

The deal is a "pass" for me, if it's as suggested.

I don't understand why we are looking for pfs. We need wings.
Most 4th Quarter Points in Final since 1991
1995 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5
2000 Shaquille O'Neal 11.5 (61.1% TS)
2015 Stephen Curry 10.8 (75.1% TS)
1997 Michael Jordan 10.7 (55.1% TS)
1998 Michael Jordan 10.6 (50.6% TS)
2011 Dirk Nowitzki 10.3 (68.0% TS)

I'm 50/50 on it. Klay Thompson for Faried isn't that bad knowing we need interior strength and power, but I just feel we can get more for Thompson. Him and Curry pair well together, but thompson hasn't been great recently. if Iggy wasn't so terrible offensively this season then maybe i'd feel better doing it, but he seems handcuffed by himself.

Not sure if we should split the Splash Bros. and make Iggy our Shooting Guard. I think Klay is one of the Top 10 SGs now, but still inconsistent, still, the Warriors are looking forward to give him an extension. I would replace Klay for Barnes on that scenario and add in Memphis.

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kb43c3n
MEM Get: Harrison Barnes
DEN Get: Tony Allen, Mareese Speights
GSW Get: Kenneth Faried, Andre Miller

Memphis, is looking for an upgrade in SF, Barnes could be an answer for that, but still questionable for them.

Denver, is reportedly selling Faried due to lack of his defense. Adding in Tony Allen, would be a start to build up on their defense and Speights would add depth in the PF position. I don't know if the Nuggets would do this though.

As for the warriors, Faried, together with Green, will be the Energy Guys off the bench. Andre Miller's all sort of passes would surely help us.
Any Thoughts?

I don´t know, i would like to keep Barnes. He´s got more upside than Thompson in my eyes.

Iggy played a great season in Denver as a SG, i don´t see any problems with that.

Oddly I agree with you. Barnes...for as bad as he has been at times, STILL seems to have more between the ears. I would trust him with a wide open three point shot for the win over Klay...who seems to shrink from pressure where as Barnes seems to evelate his game in those moments.

I like this deal - gives us a less up and down defensively solid scoring guard AND a more more reliable pick and pop shooter in Brandon Bass. Love the idea of Splash Brothers...I'll give up that hype for a guy less likely to pull bonehead turnovers and go 3 for 18 every 3rd game.

Bass, Bradley, ATL/BRK 1st for Speights, Klay.

Idk if I would offer much more (even if he was worth it to GSW fans).

He costs twice what Speights costs...and Bass can't fill in at C. We don't have the minutes for a vbackup who costs that. Had we wanted to spend that... We'd have kept Landry. The Celtics simply are trying to make it seem Bass is wanted. If he was wanted much, he'd have been dealt weeks ago.

Bradley and Bass are just backups on any decent team. Bradly is a 6-2 twener G....and since we just got Crawford..Bradly won't give us much. Are we all gonna go panic mode (again) ? I thought we got past that.

It's a DUMB deal. Hell...if we said...you need to add Olynick...they would and would still figure they robbed us.

And what's the nonsense about A Miller? He's slowed too much, he's not cheap, is about to retire. Faried will get a contract ....ELSEWHERE...next summer. We won't match...sinc he won't be our starter. Meaning we traded 2 rotation guys for the hole in the donut.

The POINT isn't to be in some mad rush to get RID of good players.

New to the forum here, but I'm assuming players on the block for the Warriors would be Thompson and/or Barnes, Speights?

IMO we don't trade Klay unless we're getting a better star-level player back who's around Klay's age. His value around the league, I'd assume, is very high.

As fans who're generally disappointed with his play, most assume that Barnes would be to leading candidate. But nobody really knows what's being discussed. Allegedly Curry and Bogut are considered the only guys who are completely unavailable....

Harrison Barnes, Nedovic and Kuzmic for Dion Waiters and Anthony Bennett

Anthony Bennett is rounding into form and his value is gonna keep on going up

The Cavs don't do it. Besides, that trade puts the Warriors into the luxury tax, and the Warriors don't do that.

Given my conversations with Joe, our FO is still very high on Barnes and see him rounding out into a star. I don't see him trading Barnes at this point.

Uh, what? Did you send him an email and he gave you a sentence response or something?
