I'm hoping there's some non-guarantees in the 2nd year or some sort of team option

Tolliver is a fun guy with hilarious facial expressions, but I was hoping the Suns would aim a bit higher. Hopefully they land Boozer.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
I remember exactly where I was when Amare had that dunk on Anthony Tolliver. I screamed so loud I nearly lost my voice. I still believe that was one of the best games of Amare's career. Not just that dunk, but how he played the whole fourth quarter. He was unstoppable. It was truly Amare at his best. It was a highlight win that year for sure.
Anyway, I am fine with the Tolliver signing as long as he is not starting. 3 million a year has very little impact on the Suns cap so it is therefore another quality signing by McDonough. It is nice to see the Suns finally get another player that can actually play power forward.
I also think that something big may happen. The Suns should still have a lot of cap room left so they can either sign someone else or trade for a player. It is possible that the Suns already have worked out a contract with Bledsoe but have not signed it in order to keep the space available.

Suns will still add a big. Len and plumlee are the only guys on the team over 6 9.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

wtf? how could his comment be possibly construed as racist? He didn't say he was would work at a KFC.
"Bagging groceries" is simply a figure of speech. As it stands, Lebron has no more marketable skills at the end of the day other than being an athlete.
The point of the matter is, at the end of the day he will make hundreds of millions for bouncing a ball around...not to say he isn't entitled to whatever money he gets, but if someone complains about how much money they are making (as Sunsdeuce pointed out- something normal people do in their spare time; an activity many others do not have the opportunity to partake in) I will simply laugh.
When I was in my mid and early twenties I made 25-30k making/playing/teaching music...I told my friends that if I ever complained about how much I got paid to slap me across the face.
I'm not african american, but when I read his post coming to conclusion that african american athletes without high school education are limited to bagging groceries made me think that he was implying something racial.
Now, that’s just my first impression.
Had he mentioned that in a public forum or in front of the media, I can tell you many many more people will think he was being racist… intentional or not.
I found it mildly racist… and Im not your typical guy that is soft as butter, I can tolerate many things. But what he said I found offensive.
Not even close to racist. If you find 'bagging grocieries' racist the you're the one putting racism into the equation.
Then lets agree to disagree, I found it mildly racist and extremely ignorant, not going to change to my mind.
And I just asked a few people around me and they think it can be perceived as racist depending on the person's experience, perception and situation… well I guess because of all those things, from my point of view I think its mildly racist. Thats that.

I hear Andray Blatche still needs a job.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
it does appear that Tolliver shot 40% from 3 last season, but on very limited attempts. What kind of impact can he make from the bench though?

No to Blatche. I don't want him near this team. At least Tolliver seems like a good guy with a nice locker room presence.
Blatche is a madman.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
How high is Charlotte on Biyombo?
I'd flick them a 2nd round pick for him, very good rebounder and rim protector - good athlete too who could run the floor in our tempo. They've got Al J, Zeller and Vonleh don't they?
What happened to Tyrus Thomas, where's he at for the vet min/10 day to see what he has left.
I haven't seen jack about Okafor, is his career done? Would love him here to get him healthy and tutor Plumlee.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
There were/are certainly worse options out there than Tolliver. He is the definition of a stopgap on this roster. Last year he averaged 41% 3pt, @ 1.6 makes per game. He is two years younger than Frye as well at 29. I don't really understand the 2nd year though - perhaps it is non guaranteed and/or there for a "just in case" scenario.

I'm sure there's a non-guarantee or a team option in the 2nd year. I don't see him getting $3m anywhere else so there has to be some sort opt-out clause for the team.

Pretty much this.
I would counter with Bledsoe and a first rounder for Giannis. I would even include a Laker one since Greek Freak`s potential is off the charts.

I hope we sign someone like Jermaine O'Neal to round out our roster. We need some defensive toughness in the paint.

S&T with MIL looking more and more unlikely due to us getting Tolliver and them signing Bayless. Nice try by the Bucks' beat writer (?) though in stirring this up...

Saying "bagging groceries" is now considered racist? Good grief. Martin Luther King is rolling over in his grave.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
Suns are really allowing the market to dictate Bledsoe's price range. I hope he doesn't decide to just wait another year. We'd be royally screwed trying to keep him, Dragic, and Kieff at that point.
I am hoping for a contract of 50mil/4 years.

Awesome. I think we are done, other than signing Bledsoe.
