Getting an obnoxious square ad on the top left that follows even when scrolling. It even blocks the forum posts.

Yes, it is very disruptive. It appeared as I started to type this reply and I had to scroll so that I could see what I was typing.

:banghead: Thats why we can't have good things.

I've immediately installed adblock plus.

Yup that square ad is absolutely terrible and really hinders the experience of using this board.

This covers the left side of the page. I have to scroll page up just so I can see what I am typing here. The Post or Quick Reply buttons have to be scrolled to the bottom of the page to even use them. This is a massive nuisance.

RealGM is becoming one of the worst for Advertisements out of all sports websites.

And you can't even close it. With some of the adds you have an option to click on [x] close but that doesn't even work.

These are terrible. Will use adblock if this doesn't get rectified soon.

I only use Firefox for RealGM and Chrome for other stuff while at work. Thus, I just added the free Add-On called Bluhell Firewall which disables ad's like this for Firefox only. Just downloaded it and it has been working well thus far:

Sorry about the issue with the square ads appearing on the page. Those were appearing on mistake and we've been working on having them eliminated over the past 24 hours.

This is going on 2 weeks now. Black n Decker non-stop every page with sound. I can't listen to Pandora at work anymore and visit RealGM. This has been a real drag.

We are looking into this but please post ad stuff in this thread and not others.

Still getting these commercials with sound. When does the contract end so I can use my speakers again? This is the worst I have seen it at RealGM with their advertising.

ESPN doesn't even blast audio this often.

The Black & Decker ads have been eliminated from the site.

Our policy remains to not have any ads that have sound playing automatically.

Quoted from one of the mobile troubleshooting threads because I think it's relevant here too:

FWIW, I've been having ad trouble since I joined this site, even on a full browser. Every time you guys "fix" an ad issue it's like slapping a bandaid on a bullethole. The problem isn't the individual ads (although some are particularly heinous). The problem is the clickbait revenue model that leads to things like triple flash boarders, multiple top banners, thumbnail links to gossip tabloids, etc... As long as the site continues to pimp itself out like that, it will never free itself of virulent ads. For every one you remove, you open the door for a new offender. It's like playing wack-a-mole at the arcade.

There's gotta be some happy medium that allows you to both make money and put out a quality product.

Anyone know of an ad blocker for Chrome on an Android Phone? I keep getting inappropriate ads coming up on my phone for cheating, and pornographic sites.

I can't even use this site while mobile browsing because the ad redirections are so bad. Literally every item I click redirects me.

Also, I was just redirected to that porn (cheating site) you mentioned while mobile browsing. This is really atrocious.

I haven't had any mobile redirects lately, but I'm experiencing terrible lag, flash crashes, and rendering issues on the full site. It continues to be a very large resource hog and I get the impression it's more related to your advertisements than the web traffic.

My android phone is 28.1% damaged because of 4 harmful virus, the only solution is to get Go Security Antivirus Applock or I will lose everything on my phone.

This keeps popping up every time I try to view realgm on my android stock browser.

I never browse RealGM without Ad-Blockers with Flash and Java Disabled. Otherwise, I have gotten Trojans and other assorted Ad-Ware installed on my computer.
