It's amazing what happens when a front office knows how to build and run an actual good team

Cubs being really, really good and the Cardinals being somewhat disappointing has made the decline of the Bulls much more difficult to tolerate :D :D :banghead: :banghead: :D :D

Why is the Sox still on page 1 while the Cubs get lost to page 2? Something is wrong with this picture. Bump

shields? He is the Ben Wallace to the Bulls for the white sox. Long on name, short on impact.

We needs to keep this thread flying high. I'm glad this thread exist, because the Bulls are pretty much gloom and doom right now, and I want some optimism.

I'm sure this is going to sound ridiculous to you guys, but Cubs and White Sox? Does Chicago have two baseball teams?

Just showing off how much I know about American sport outside of basketball.

Yeah, Cubs play on the north side and Sox on the south.

Cubs have the bigger following in Chicago by a large margin. Also, Sox are owned by Jerry Reinsdorf.

Shields is being asked to do something that he's not capable of? Ben Wallace was signed here to be a #1 and Reinsdorf was the one that pushed for him. Shields has been acquire to be a back end starter. He's much better than John Danks or Erik Johnson and this was Rich Hahn getting a good deal. It's not even a comparable move other than whom ultimately signs the checks.

Like I said, for June, it's a big move (with more to come).
