Pirates vs. Cubs July 6,7 & 8 (Pirates lead 1-0)

Post#1 » by timd1218 » Fri Jul 6, 2007 11:36 pm

I haven't updated in a while. No motivation because the Buccos are playing terrible.

3 Games Series with the Cubs
Game 1: Pirates 8 Cubs 4
W - Maholm (5-11) L - Marquis (6-5)
Game 2: Van Benschoten vs. Lilly
Game 3: Youman vs. Zambrano

I don't like Youman starting. It's the last game before the All Star break. I think Ian Snell should be pitching. Since he won't be in the All Star Game, this could end up being a big game for the Buccos.

I know what you're thinking. We're in the middle of a city, what's a hawk doing there?

Welcome from the Cubs board!

Marquis needs to stay back to basics and just pitch.

I'm glad you had Gorzelanny and Snell both face the Brewers in the last two games. Now we get the back of the rotation and you took three from Milwaukee. I like it.

And I'm a HUGE Jason Bay fan, being Canadian. So while I hope we sweep you, I'd like to see the Pirates be successful elsewhere.

J Bay has been in a terrible slump as of late. Just horrible. He needs to snap out of it now so he will make more money when the Yankees sign him.
