I don't think I could like this team again with Costa on it

My bad. Oscar was amazing tonight.
Good performance but without some signs Chelsea (RFB, right wing) can't compete with United and City.

Yeah, Oscar really had a great game. When he's "on" he's so much fun to watch. I think there is a place in this team for both Oscar and Cesc to shine, sometimes even in the same midfield.

Amazingly, Ivanovic also looked pretty good today.

Oscar is going to become a superstar if he keeps playing in central midfield. I'm glad he finally has a manager who has the sense to move him there.

I don't know. I believe that Conte won't put Matic on the bench so there is only a last spot on the midfield.
To me all right zone seems too slow to play with Conte's style (he likes fast wing and attacking full back), maybe he can settle with Hazard's genius on the left but on the right he badly needs speed.

CHelsea looked pretty good yesterday.... Outside of the final third, where they lost possession and misplaced balls a ton. However, west ham were so defensive and park the bus, it would be difficult not to...

They look a lot better than what I expected.... However, Kante not so much. Could of easily gotten red carded and Carroll was fouled so many times and didnt get any.

Chelsea official signs Marcos Alonso from Fiorentina for 27 million €. Surely he is an overpay but Chelsea badly need a fullback, now Conte will move Azpilicueta to RFB.

To be fair I don't understand the Cuadrado's loan: Chelsea needs speed on the wing and Cuadrado is the perfect player for that role. Mah.

I don't even know what to think of Luiz coming back to Chelsea. Mixed emotions for sure. On a personal level, he is awesome. Who doesn't love Luiz? On an excitement level - good and bad - he is awesome. On the other hand, he's on big wages, he's closing in on 30 and he is prone to some really silly mistakes. We needed depth at CB, obviously. It sucks we weren't able to get a younger player with more upside. But at the end of the day, I can't be mad about having him back.

I don't understand the Cuadrado loan, unless he really is the one pushing hard to get out of Chelsea. He looked really good in preseason, better than Pedro for sure. Plus he's one of the few that could allow Conte to use a 3-5-2. I would have preferred to keep him and sell/loan Pedro.

Now we just need to find a way to get Chalobah some minutes. It breaks my heart to see him ignored every week, even in the recent cup game.

Who gets to be 3rd striker this year? RLC or Solanke?

Well, its better than cahill, jt and Ivan....

Also, I am going to say that Luiz is probably going to be captain once JT is gone.

Time for the b-annual Chelsea Loan Army starting 11. *Not including Cuadrado. He's basically sold for good.
GK: Blackman

RB: Tomas Kalas
CB: Andreas Christensen
CB: Michael Hector
LB: Baba Rahman

RW: Charly Musonda
CM: Nathan Ake
CM: Lewis Baker
LW: Kenedy

ST: Bertrand Traore
ST: Loic Remy

Lots of attacking options on the bench. Not much defensive midfield cover though.

Chalobah!!! FINALLY gets his debut. I'm dying to see a midfield trio of Kante - Chalobah and Fabregas.

On the other hand, guess who jogged around and did nothing in his 60 minutes... RLC. Get that man on loan.

Now we just need to sort out that clown defending at the back.

Cesc also showing his love for the club the past two games.

Meanwhile today Courtois, once again, just shows he has no class as he practically begged the Madrid clubs to sign him away from Chelsea. I can't believe we let go of Cech for this dude. He makes my blood boil.

Happy for Chalobah, hope he can get more game time as the season wears on.

Courtois is really showing what a spoiled brat he really is.

Best I can tell he is an selfish arrogant prick who thinks he's too good for Chelsea. Sadly, he's been rather average the past year and a half. He keeps playing like he's been playing and I'm not so sure those bigger teams will be as interested as they once were. He seems to lack the ability to organize the defense from the back the way that Cech and other top keepers can do.

I'd argue for him to be benched in favor of Begovic, but frankly Begovic has been pretty terrible lately as well.
