Re: 2016-17 Italian Serie A thread
Inter would be a massive challenge for Simeone. The club is an absolute mess, and it seems almost a little crazy for him to jump ship even if Atletico are way off the title race in Spain this season. It will be a real test for his managerial chops, but if anyone can help fix that dysfunctional dressing room it's probably him.
Do they have the money to sign those guys? I remember reading that their finances were worse off than some Serie B teams, and they might be in FFP trouble.

Not James and Veratti money tho. Veratti alone would probably be like 60mil€.

What kind of fee do you think James would command these days? Has to be a lot less than Real paid in 2014, but even then, he's still a young lad and a talented player.

Inter offered 75 million in the summer for James. I'd expect the same

Turin derby starting shortly. Torino is a good team and Belotti is having a hell of a season. Should be a good match

Yes, if not a Milan win. I think Roma are the more serious threat to our sixth consecutive scudetto...if there is one

Juve-Roma right now. Roma pretty much in trouble if they lose this match

Was a pretty meh match... it's only December but it's looking like Juve won't have too much opposition to winning 6 in a row, barring a collapse.

That's been clear from the start of the season and will be the same for the next couple of seasons.

Yeah, it seems like you're correct.
Milan have a nice youth movement at the moment, and Roma and Napoli may be able to somewhat bridge the gap with a few quality signings, but besides that I don't see any clubs even being remotely threatening to Juve.

Mertens has been amazing since playing striker in place of Milik.
this is how he completed his hattrick over the weekend:
past couple months he has been like Toto Di Natale when he was top 5 forwards in the league every season

Happy for the Supercoppa win, our young players will enjoy this one. Been a while since winning a trophy, even if it's "just" a supercup. Forza!

Was gonna remark on this. My goodness, it looks like it was designed by a 15 year old edgelord.
