Re: College Football 2016
I thought they gave Claeys a contract extension not so long ago? Not that that would stop them. I mean, if they got signals that Fleck would leave WMU, I would fire him too. Just seems weird.

Re: College Football 2016
They want to fire him for his tweet supporting the players during the strike, not for his performance on the field. There was also a petition with 2,800 signatures dropped off this week asking for him to be fired because of it. They're in a tight spot. Fire him and risk losing some recruits. Keep him and lose support from the community. They're already in the bottom half of the conference in attendance, and I know some people from MN (mostly women) who are completely disgusted with the players.

The A.D. has gone from announcing Claeys will get an extension to stating he will meet with Claeys and discuss what is expected of the program going forward. So no, he hasn't gotten an extension and the A.D. has seemed to go in a total opposite direction since the original statement. There's all sorts of politics going on with this one. As an alumn I don't even really have an opinion on what they should do, just want them to pick a direction and move forward 110%. Though I have very little faith in the BoR, President, and A.D. at the moment, so this could definitely end up pretty ugly.

I know they're young, but I didn't think an Urban Meyer team could be so sloppy and inept.

Yeah, what a waste of time it was watching that game.

I did enjoy seeing OSU get their ass whipping. The rematch next week of Bama/Clemson should be a good one
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: College Football 2016
Big Ten was a victim of its own success in their bowl match-ups. They were a little better than all the other conferences and earned tiebreaker considerations (e.g., 10-2 in the Big Ten beats 10-2 in the Big 12), but that doesn't mean they're so much better that their 9th-best team can beat the Pac 12's 5th best team, or that their 5th and 6th best teams should beat the SEC's 2nd and 3rd best teams in what amounted to home games for the latter. Tonight their 3rd best team plays the Pac 12's #2 in basically a home game for USC as well. Their 7th best team beat the Pac 12's #6, and their #8 beat the ACC's #6. Their #4 team beat an undefeated mid-major.
The Big Ten lacked a dominant team so they had a bad showing in the playoffs, and UM-FSU was a toss-up considering FSU was in their home state. But the bowl results don't diminish the good season they had as much as the pundits are saying.

And if MU had Peppers and Butt, they probably pull that one out with a backup QB.

Douchey Penn State QB is so lucky with his receivers always winning 50/50 balls.

PSU has 7 TDs on 7 possessions. Doing the same thing to USC they did to us.

What a game. Feeling rough for the B10 right now, and I hate USC, but feels John Goodman to see PSU go down.

Nice to see Penn State lose to USC the same way we lost to Penn State.

Now it gets interesting. The longer it takes for them to announce a hire the less likely they are going to upgrade.
