Ingram has all the tools to be a great player. just needs to start putting it together. Zubac on the other hand, looks to be a stud. def think he can avg a double double in his prime.
The are two major factors with this. First, Russell's class is far stronger. He has far more competition. At first he was a controversial pick over Okafor. Now, Porzingis, Turner, Jokic all look like great picks. If he had been picked 2nd in this year's draft class there would be a lot less hate. Ingram, on the other hand is the 2nd pick in a weak class, and it isn't like at the moment you can say there is a sure fire prospect picked after him that will have a better career. Heck and even if there is, there is also a good chance that the laker's second round pick zubac could be it.

Jokic wasn't in the same draft. He came over a year late.

This is really embarrassing for this western conference rookie class. And I'm a die-hard Suns fan, too.

Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

That chart is wrong. Liggins, Semaj Christon, Rodney Mcgruder, and Andrew Harrison are NOT rookies.

The Suns 19 years old undrafted rookie Derrick Jones Jr. will participate in the dunk contest. Here's a video with his dunks in the D-League this year:

Liggins isn't, the rest technically are. Playing their first NBA minutes this season.

Re: 2016-17 Rookie Watch thread
Willy Hernangomez continues to looks good with extended minutes.
There seems to be a continuing trend with Knicks GMs that they're terrible at making trades and free agent signings, but do a good job at drafting (if they haven't traded away their pick that is).

Very true. Their scouting department is very good and they do a particularly good job in Europe. The biggest problem imo with the trades and signings is that the team is always trying to make steps that as an organization they're not ready to take. Trying to grab a star when they're more than a few pieces away. Good news for us is that the team has all of its firsts going forward. Maybe with two very good young players and this hullabaloo surrounding Anthony the buck stops in terms of making hasty trades. We can only hope...
And yeah - Willy is a joy to watch. I love fluid post players.

I was shouted down by a few Pels fans earlier in the season for having the temerity to ask whether or not they were happy with Buddy over Murray.
Even if we are to put aside the 3 years age difference - which is a BIG thing to put aside - Murray just looks so much better as a playmaker and as an off-the-dribble scorer. I know the Nuggets are looking to get the 8 seed, but I would not be shocked to see Mudiay moved sooner rather than later, in order to give Murray more opportunities at PG.

I'm a fan of Murray. If it weren't for Embiid, he would probably the ROTY.

If he would have a chance it will take Malone actually giving Murray more minutes and freedom, Malone has not shown much of a willingness to do that. Even right now Harris and Barton are both on minute restrictions, which is forcing Malone to play Murray more than he would like too.
