So, I'm heading to Las Vegas this weekend, and I usually spend most of my time/cash at the sports books. I typically don't like to bet on futures because the odds are not great, and I do much better picking head to head or even doing parlays. But I do like to put down a small bet every once in a while on futures.
Looking at the odds, if you were to put down 50 bucks on any of these teams where would you go?

If Romo goes to Houston in that division, 40/1 is very tempting.

Might be worth tossing a sheckel or two on now... while it's still 40/1. Because if he does go there, that will drop and drop fast.

That is one of the first ones that stuck out to me. The only other one that I'm really even mildly tempted by is the Ravens at 20/1. I think they could have a very nice season. Well, and the Panthers of course...

I came one game short on my K.C. bet last year that I got early at 17/1. Gee, I might throw $50.00 on that prop bet just for **** and giggles at 40/1.

I'll have to check the sports book across the river tomorrow night and see where they sit. 40/1 is worth a buck or 20.

Good choice. Definitely a team on the come.

Damn, what odds can I get for a 49er-Browns SB?

Another possible sleeper you may want to keep your eye on are the Jaguars. I may have been a year off predicting them as a sleeper last year. They made another splash in FA again this year and have had 2 excellent drafts in a row. If that team had a QB they really would be scary. Say, a guy like Romo !

The most bang for your buck that I see on this list is the Titans at 40/1. I think I will eventually take another $100.00 and take a few early prop bets here as well. Titans, Steelers, Cowboys, Chiefs. Like to take a chance on the Raiders but their defense is so pathetic I can't do it. Maybe Packers, but I wish the odds were better.
