Sounds like a Baalke special for some team.

I was just about to bring up Baalke. In all honesty if he's there in the 5th I say draft him:

Sidney Jones - DB - Player

Washington CB Sidney Jones suffered a torn Achilles' at his Pro Day.

It's terrible news for a potential top-10 pick. Jones was one of the highest rising corners in the draft after running 4.47 at the Combine. The injury is obviously a major hit to his stock. Jones is now looking at spending all of 2017 on reserve/NFI.

Mitchell Trubisky - QB - Tar Heels

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports that the Browns will give Cody Kessler a chance to start next season.

This does not necessarily preclude the Browns from drafting a quarterback, but at the very least, it would appear to indicate that the team is not currently looking to take one in the first round. As USA Today's Luke Easterling notes, Cleveland could simply be waiting for next year's draft. That one could be a little heavier at the top, with Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen and Mason Rudolph all possibly in play.

Evan Engram - TE - Rebels

Pro Football Focus compared Ole Miss TE Evan Engram to Miami Dolphins TE Joseph Duarte.

"Duarte entered the draft process in a very similar position to Engram, viewed as someone in-between a wide receiver and a tight end," notes the PFF analysis team, who sees the 6-foot-3, 234-pound Ole Miss product as a potentially "useful chess piece in the receiving game" when matched against linebackers and safeties. They do offer a word of caution on Engram, though, writing that he "offers little as a blocker" and could have issues staying on the field early in his career due to this deficiency.

John Ross - WR - Huskies

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline passes along that when running deep routes during Washington's pro day on Saturday, WR John Ross was repeatedly underthrown because he was too fast for the quarterback.

Ross' blink-and-you're-burned speed is apparently just too much for some. Pauline hears that, when he wasn't being underthrown, the 5-foot-11, 188-pound wideout "ran exceptional routes displaying great quickness into breaks and caught the ball well." The potential Day 1 pick will be undergoing shoulder surgery on Tuesday and plans on mostly shutting down his draft process while he rehabs. He figures to continue meeting with interested teams, but it looks like individual workouts might understandably be off the table.

He looks the part, but he's pose fear to receivers crossing the middle. He may be able to make up a lot of ground batting passes, but he doesn't intimidate anyone as a hitter. That's not what I want from a safety:

Obi Melifonwu - DB - Huskies

UConn DB Obi Melifonwu is scheduled to visit the Steelers, Seahawks and Saints, according to Texans beat writer Aaron Wilson.

Melifonwu is one of the more fascinating prospects in the draft, thanks to his ridiculous safety frame and athleticism and possible conversion to corner. Just looking at the teams listed, the Seahawks might consider Obi as the successor to either safety, or view him as a corner. Melifonwu needs to complete his agility tests at the school's pro day.

Charles Harris - DL - Tigers

Packers beat writer Bob McGinn spoke to one NFL scout who called Missouri edge rusher Charles Harris "one of the better defensive players in the draft."

"He’s athletic, physical, tough and can rush the passer like those other Missouri guys," the scout added. We were right there with the evaluator before the NFL Combine, but then Harris tested in 9th percentile and did not show the explosion or short area agility we hoped to see. Harris, on tape, has an outstanding get off, some bend to take advantage of that step advantage and offers a spin as a counter move.

Charles Harris - DL - Tigers

Missouri edge rusher Charles Harris moved up 16 spots in Daniel Jeremiah's top 50 and currently sits at No. 19 overall.

"Overall, Harris is a very polished pass rusher who should be able to harass quarterbacks as soon as he hits an NFL field," Jeremiah writes. We loved Harris' game during the season, as he has a great get off and pairs it with an effective counter move. However, testing in the 9th percentile for a pass rusher is a major concern.

O.J. Howard - TE - Crimson Tide

An NFL scout told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Alabama TE O.J. Howard's "upside is through the roof."

"There’s no dominant in-line guys anymore but he’s probably as good as you’re going to get coming out," the scout said. "As a receiver he’s still a little untapped. Only two years did he play with a pro-style quarterback. He’s a phenomenal human being." At 6-foot-6, 251 pounds, Howard clocked a sensational 4.51s 40-yard dash Saturday at the NFL Combine. "Nothing wrong with him at all," said another scout. "Big-time basketball player in high school. Just a country boy. Big, fast, athletic. Receiving tight end or every down."

Who does Deshaun Watson most compare with in the NFL? For some obvious and not so obvious reasons I think he looks real similar to Alex Smith coming out... And honestly, I don't think its a crazy comparison (after the initial shock of hearing for the first time wears off)...

Dak Prescott. And not because of their skin color. I'm talking about their natural leadership qualities. They're both inconsistent passers inside the pocket (difficulty hitting the down-and-out routes). They'll frustrate you with their erratic throws, and yet they're considered Playmakers that will hurt you with their arms and legs; and won't get rattled at all by pass rushers pressuring them all day long. Watson is my #1 QB of this draft class and still I wouldn't draft him with our #2 overall pick at all.

John Ross - WR - Huskies

Washington WR John Ross traveled to visit the Eagles between his pro day and an upcoming shoulder surgery.

"I got a chance to talk to the whole (Eagles) offensive staff, pretty much, coach (Frank) Reich, coach (Mike) Groh, coach (Doug) Pederson. It was exciting," Ross told NFL.com. Ross has formed a relationship with Desean Jackson over the years, and it is likely that Howie Roseman views Ross as a new Jackson clone. He is a strong possibility with the No. 14 pick, if Ross is still on the board.

Christian McCaffrey - RB - Cardinal

Fox Sports' Joel Klatt ranks Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey as the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2017 class.

"The most NFL ready offensive player in the draft, McCaffrey is a great running back but also has the ability to be used as a wide receiver and kick returner," Klatt writes. "Expect him to get 18-25 touches per game." We hear what Klatt is saying about McCaffrey, as Stanford's offense certainly prepares a running back for an NFL style and workload. However, many still question McCaffrey's ability to handle a full workload due to standing 5-foot-11 and 205-pounds. McCaffrey produced highlight runs along with difficult yards between the tackles thanks to vision and patience.Leonard Fournette is Klatt's No. 2 running back at No. 9 overall.

Probably better for McCaffrey as a WR. If he tries to go RB, his career path could be similar to Reggie Bush, just get beat up a lot.

Or use him out of the back field in the passing game.
