I'm starting to think Bears wont draft a QB at all. They are rumored to be interested in trading for Chase Daniel. Don't see them having 4 QBs on the roster.

Do you have a link? I haven't seen that anywhere

Sure, I originally found out watching NFL network.

I'm seeing mock drafts with Garrett going 1 and Solomon Thomas going 2. We would have to take Allen at 3

Other positions of need:
WR
QB
OLB
OT
RB

I think we're good at safety. PFF rated Amos 81.7, which is third on the team behind Freeman (93.8) and Hicks (83.1). And Demps was rated and 85.2. Amos is going into his third season. HJQ is going into his third year. Obviously Bush and DHC going into their second year. We only need a safety if someone really talented unexpectedly drops and is the best player on the board.

OLBs Takkarist McKinley from UCLA and Jordan Willis from Kansas State could be considerations in round two. I think I prefer Willis. Better production, better run stopper, better motor, better measurables. I think some people project McKinley as the better player because he played at a bigger program, but I like McKinley.

Edit: also TJ Watt. He's not quite as athletic but definitely a great playmaker.

OLB

2nd round
Willis
McKinley
Watt

Round 3/4
Carroll Phillips (Illinois)
Trey Hendrickson (Florida Atlantic)

All of them have excellent size and measurables and production.

Carl Lawson is intriguing in all those ways as ways as well. But he has injury concerns and is a really stiff player. The other guys are more fluid and better on-field athletes, by my eyes

Wide receivers

2nd round
Zay Jones
Chris Godwin

3rd/4th round
Juju Smith (USC)
Ambo Etta Tawo (Syracuse)
Josh Malone (Tennessee)
Amara Darboh (Michigan)
Stacy Coley (Miami)

QB

2nd round
Trubisky
Watson
Kizer

3rd/4th
Mahomes
Davis

I would prefer to wait until round 4 to take a QB, but if only one of Mahomes or Davis is on the board for us in round 3, then we should probably take him.

If we go take Allen and then WR and OLB in round 2 and 3 that would be ideal. That would mean Davis and Mahomes are both on the board but one of those relievers or pass rushers were also on the board so we took them since they're better.

Then if Mahomes or Webb is taken somehwere in the middle of round 3, I'm fine with packaging our two 4th rounders to trade up and grab the qb that's left. But ideally it's Allen, WR/OLB , QB

De'angelo Henderson from would be an interesting pick at RB. Just as fast as Langford, but much stronger and plays more physical. Also a good receiver out of the backfield. He's 5'7" 208lbs. We could probably take him in the 6th

Of we have to trade our two 4th rounders to move up into the 3rd for a QB (which I think is likely to happen), then that leaves the 5th round to take an OL. If we don't have to make a trade then the OL, then we will have one more pick than the number of needs we have. We can use it on anyone on the board we believe is a good value.

If we're lucky this will happen

1. DE Allen
2. WR Zay Jones
3. OLB Willis (super lucky), Phillips/Hendrickson
4. QB Davis Webb
4. CB (there are so many good corners that one of them is bound to drop to us here)
5. OL (I'm not a good OL evaluator, maybe patryk7754 has some insight as to who could still be on the board and be a good player to develop)
6. RB De'Angelo Henderson

If all the QBs I named go in the first two rounds, and RB Jeremy McNichols is on the board in the 4th, then I'd take him, plus a corner that drops. Still pick an OL in round 5.

Walter football's most recent mock draft has us taking Allen with our first pick.

In round 2, Zay Jones goes two picks ahead of us. OLBs Willis and McKinley are both available and are taken a few picks after us.

Round 3 has us taking juju smith, which would be excellent. Other solid relievers like Godwin and Henderson were still on his board.

In round 4 he had CB Cordrea Tankersly (6'1" and ran a 4.4 flat) go right after our first pick and RB Jeremy McNichols go right after our second pick. McNichols is my favorite RB in the draft as far as fit for the Bears. Fast, quick, good receiver, and still doesn't shy away from contact like Langford. Basically a tougher and more experienced version of Langford.

He has all my QBs going in the first two rounds. I'm fine with that. And Nathan Peterman going early in round 3.

Things seem to focused on Allen. Watch Pace pass on him.

Everything pointed to a WR in Paces first draft and a pass rusher in his second. There's only position on this team that is still lacking a starting caliber player. That's DE.
