Jung-Ho Kang is having his visa blocked.

I dunno how Pirates fans feel, but I can't help but be happy. 3 DUI's, a sexual assault claim.. would be in jail if he weren't an athlete, and he seems like he belongs there

After Beltre he's my favorite Ranger. I love his game. And he's still scratching the surface of how good he can be. Plays his ass off every single play. Clearly made some bad decisions in last year's ALDS. He will learn from them. He's the heart of this team.

How two horses helped the Rangers seal a 6-year deal with Rougned Odor ... no, seriously
http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/texas-rangers/rangers/2017/03/30/done-deal-rangers-announce-rougned-odors-6-year-extension-thursday?_ga=1.215467671.1200588707.1472593646

It may have taken a dog-and-pony show, but the Rangers have their second baseman of the future officially locked up.

Scratch that. It just took ponies.

Rougned Odor has signed a six-year contract extension, the club announced Thursday.

And according to SportsDay's Evan Grant, a pair of horses helped the Rangers seal the deal with Odor.

It is expected to be worth $49.5 million in guaranteed money, SportsDay's Evan Grant reported Saturday. The contract, which goes into effect this year, also will include a club option for 2023 that could take the value of the deal to $62 million.

On the market, Odor's deal is undervalued. Jason Kipnis, also a second baseman, signed a six-year deal with Cleveland three years ago for $52.5 million. Center fielder Kevin Kiermaier, who has 10 more days of service than Odor, signed a six-year deal worth $53.5 million earlier this month.

I'm expecting 15-18 wins and him chewing up innings like normal. I still think that the end of last season where he would lose his release point and never find it again was an a anomaly. At least I hope so. Because from the ASB on, he had some awful games.

I think he, Yu and Perez are setting up nicely at the top of the staff. I'm hoping that what I hear about Perez' experience in the WBC is true. He spent a lot of time around King Felix trying to learn what he could and all indications are he has some different perspectives that should pay off for him and the Rangers. If he really does trust his fast ball the way I read he does, then he could be line to have a breakout season.
