the only thing to really say, is to admit that this has been a failure on my part and that we have no choice but to rebuild in the 2 years i have left. that that's the direction we're going because it's the only thing that makes sense from here on out. apologize to the fans. and to the players for being a distraction. and humbly move forward.

This is Phil you are talking about. We had players not buy in. We had coaches not buy in. When you are trying to implement a system of basketball and the players and coaches dont buy in then the system will not work. yada yada yada ....

May drop a the fans wont let you rebuid in NY line also .

as far as melo say, we tried to do what we could to accommodate his window but ultimately it didn't work out. we're sorry about that. we have let him know what direction the franchise is moving in and he'll have to make the decision for himself if he wants to stay or not.
