When did he have an immigration ban?

2011. The State Department under Obama's administration put a 6 month ban on immigration from Iraq.... just like Trump did and for the same reasons Trump did.

It was in response to finding 2 refugees Obama had let into the country from Iraq whilst he was asleep at the wheel.... were actually terrorists that killed Americans in Iraq. Just like ISIS said they would do.... they'd use terrorists masked as refugees to infiltrate the US.

The left want to deny it's the same as Trump having an immigrant ban... even though the reasons were exactly the same. National security. The numbers don't lie no matter how much Obama does.

2010 - 18,251 refugees from Iraq
2011 - 6,339 refugees from Iraq <---- The 6 month Obama ban... that apparantly never happened.
2012 - 16,369 refugees from Iraq

Also the 7 countries that Trump banned.... were the 7 countries the State Department created under Obama's administration... as "Countries of concern" for sponsoring terrorism. Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. The left media spin of course was that Trump made the list himself... and that he didn't include Saudi Arabia because he has business interests there... when it was actually Obama who made the list not Trump.

Wait, you're saying that putting a ban on a country where they actually found terrorists coming into the country, is the exact same thing as putting a ban on seven countries where they didn't have terrorists? Amazing logic, it's no wonder how Trump got elected. They also didn't completely ban refugees from Iraq, people were still allowed in. It wasn't even a ban, they just made it harder for people in that country to get in, it's only been called a ban recently to try and make Trump look not terrible (he still is).

Personally, it'd seem disrespectful to the position and a little childish frankly but it's their call.

Was this your view when Brady didn't go to Obama's white house?

If the person chooses not to go because they oppose the sitting president, then I too consider it disrespectful and childish.

I'm a Brady fan (and yep, he just beat my team in the SB), but I'm not really happy with him skipping the last two visits. He is one of the biggest superstars in NFL history, and frankly, I think it's kind of a bad look. At least we can conclude that it was not due to personal politics.

I am sure if any team refuses to visit White House prezident Trump will say it is because he didn't invite them.

I wouldn't go for any president. Being a liar and a fake is a prerequisite for that gig no matter which party you bang with.

It depends on the reason. If he didn't go because he didn't like the man and/or his political views then yeah

They should. Everyone has a view these days in politics, yet few seem to realize it's all just a show with different puppets. Represent your country even if they do suck. if you think for a minute that Obama was any better than Trump, you my friend are completely clueless. They're all crooks. Bernie Sanders and his socialist policies may be wrong, but he may have been the first genuine U.S. President in our lifetime that would have tried to put the people first. But even Sanders may have ended up like the rest. i doubt we'll ever see a good "politician" as a U.S. President. Someone else is pulling the strings to the country.

So if you're a Spurs fan and think Trump is the worst don't you feel like you shouldn't support a team run by a Trump supporter and one of his biggest donators from Texas?

Is this common in US, to disrespect the presidency? It's still an honour to go, regardless if the person you voted for doesn't get in. Seems like not shaking hands with opponents after taking a loss.

I could not have said it any better.

They should. It is a beautiful tradition and not going is disrespectful to the country and it also gives a really bad example to the kids.

I've been rooting so hard for the Spurs this year strictly because of the White House visit.

Trump banned 7 countries that were listed by Obama as being 7 countries of concern as they were found to be "sponsors of terrorism". Just because Obama sat on his hands and did nothing with this list... whilst letting 2 terrorists waltz into the country disguised as refugees... is irrelevant.

Obama was reactive. Trump is proactive.

Trump saw a gigantic hole and tried to temporarily patch it up for 6 months whilst they put in place checks to make sure only legitimate refugees were making their way into the country and not terrorists.

If you think that makes him a terrible horrible racist person for putting the security of Americans first... then that speaks volumes about you not him.

It's sad when people put common sense and safety aside... in exchange for political correctness and safe spaces.

It's that sort of bleeding heart leftism along with calling anyone who supports Trumps actions as a bigot and racist... that is the reason Germany, Sweden and France (All run by bleeding heart lefties) are being destroyed.... and is the reason Donald Trump was voted into office.

Honestly..athletes need to stfu and do their jobs and leave their political opinions to themselves. I'm getting sick of bs like Keapernick or whatever his name is thinking they know whats right. Put your helmet on and play, noone cares what you think. That's not what you are paid millions for. Same with coaches, pop needs to limit his interviews to basketball.

Just to be clear PLENTY of NBA players are conservatives it's just really bad for their image to admit it.

It's just like all the closet conservatives in Hollywood who are scared of being blacklisted if they didn't fall in line with the fairyland parade.

In the words of Michael Jordan "Republicans buy shoes too"

Or Charles Barkley when his mom told him he can't vote republican that's for rich people. He said MOM I AM RICH
