How **** dumb is Villar? He might be one of the dumbest players I've ever seen.

I would bench Villar for at least a week easily. Let Perez play 2nd for awhile. He has to learn how not to be a massive **** up all the time.

Man did we dodge a bullet with Villar turning down that extension. Shoulda traded him in offseason at his high value point.

First real extended look at Benintendi and he does not disappoint. They were smart not to give him up in the Sale trade, he is really **** good.

Arcia's bat is ****. But his glove plays. Wow. A no doubt infield hit was half a step short of an out.

The fact this game is still in doubt is a testament to how garbage our pitching is.

Pretty confident he will turn into at least a .260/.320/.410 guy which isn't great obviously but it's solid for a possible gold glove caliber SS

I mean pretty much the entire staff is a liability. Other than Knebel being lights out I can't think of a single member of the staff i am excited about. Hooefully Barnes can get back on track? And as an aisde: i will never understand the Diaz being exposed to Rule 5.

Mentioned that too and got grief for it being early, but Im kinda with you. The boneheaded plays aren't going to be as tolerable if he keeps hitting 200.

Broxton starting to heat up at the plate. I'm still waiting on Santana. I don't know what we have in him yet.

1 game out of the Wild Card! ;)

Yeah, don't know if he will every be a consistent 300 hitter but I do think over time the stick will come around. He is at least showing flashes and not looking over matched each time at the plate.

Anything you get offensively from Arcia is a plus. He's elite defensively in every area and at SS you take that all day. Not everyone can have a Lindor.

Exactly. I'm not complaining about his bat because his glove and range are amazing. Dude is fun to watch.

Do you take a Royce Clayton type career? Career 260 Hitter, 16 year career, and top 1/3 defensive SS?

I think it's important to remember he is 22 years old. Most MLB players are not in the big leagues even at 22 years old.
