Guys, that's how Yosemite Dan posted when we were winning. The losing doesn't jade him. He is jaded when others experience joy.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Likely could have caught that in stride and made it easier for himself. One day it's gonna really bite him in the ass at a crucial time trying to make the highlight reels.

That catch was incredible...you're on something. :D

And has always been a good hitter for a catcher. He's just in year nine of "so, is this guy a catcher, or what?", which is not generally a game that gets played for the best part of a decade.

Nothing says "welcome to the bigs" like Carlos Carrasco burying three sliders in a row on the outside corner at the knees.

Tonight's bottom half of the lineup is the stuff nightmares are made of.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Still only 26, 27 in December. Not that these catchers will be stars or anything but could be some the guys playing here for certain amounts of time depending on who gets traded.

not a bad outing by Bolsinger. The 4 BB in 6 innings is a concern however.

Man, if we only had some luck and better hitting we'd be up there in the standings right now. I still believe this team when healthy, can make a run for one of the two wild cards.

Bolsinger kept them in the game, that's all you can ask for. It would be nice if one of these guys stuck so we could pause the Buffalo shuttle for a while.

Now if only the bats could do something. It sucks that Donaldson and Tulo aren't back in action tonight.

will Bautista get a hit again? (0-18 for in the last 5 games, including tonight.) He looks awful at the plate. Gibbons needs to grow some and move him down the order of the lineup.

The Orioles just put together a two-out rally in the 9th to tie it up against the Natinals, because they're the **** Orioles and of course they did.

Not withstanding the fact that they would proceed to walk it off in the 12th inning on a single by Mark Trumbo, a guy who doesn't really hit many singles in the first place.

All of the injuries except Sanchez are for players now over 30. Hamstring injuries aren't solely for over-30s, but it's something you likely see more of with older players. And of course the weather is not warm yet, so muscles might not be as loose as one would like. I do wonder whether their game prep (stretching?) should be reviewed. Three hamstring injuries at one time is a lot, even for the oldest team in baseball.

Also, I don't think this is such a nightmare season. I've been saying for two years that the division was only going to get harder and harder, that the Yankees would rise soon (they are actually a little ahead of everyone's schedule). The Red Sox haven't put it together like I suspect they will before the season is over. So this is as good a time as any for the Jays to get serious about maxing out asset value and getting ready for the next up cycle.
