Nah, 7 games out of the division. Only 3 games out of the second wild card. There's like 6 teams right there with us though lol. Anyways, way too early to be looking at WC standings. Need to wait until after the trade deadline once teams on the chase decide whether they're buyers or sellers. Right now, I'd still fight for the division. Hopefully make up two games every month.

Yankees continue to win, despite rather mediocre pitching. Gave up six runs in beating the Astros in Game 1 of a Day/Night double, now down 8-0 in the second inning in Game 2.

If the Yankees stick to their plan, they won't try to pull a big deadline deal for a high end starter.

Update: Well, the Astros almost blew it. Won 10-7. The tying run did come to the plate in the bottom of the 9th for NYY.

That makes the two of us (LOL). I am glad he has proved me wrong. Guy has delivered when the team needed someone to step up, with key players hurt.

I think that makes all of us on this board :)
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Smoak's been living up to his stats-geek pedestal.
doubt he keeps it up for the season.
would rather bet that Pillar keeps his numbers up for the year.

in the end, a win's a win. the Braves ain't good and the Jays can possibly turn this into a nice run before playing the O's.
by the time the O's are up, you hope to have Tulo back, with Donaldson not far behind. Martin should be off the DL by then as well. not sure if he'll be getting some Dunedin games in first.

I can't speak for you but I was always on board the Smoak train. It just so happens that the train initially was geared to go off a cliff.
