Dillard is probably on the verge of retiring and moving into broadcasting. Goforth I believe will be a MiLB FA next year. Both are kinda of at the mercy of not being very good and pitching in CS

He was only drafted a year ago so TBH he's aggressively placed. Phillips is having a great bounceback year and his road splits are actually impressive as well. Like ive posted multiple times before Its completely insane how deep our system. We literally have guys in the teens and 20's who would be top 3-5 in a lot of systems. We have guys who arent in our top 30 having very impressive years. Braden Webb for example. Zach Clark is also in the system in XST who is a very high upside prospect. Jordan Yamamoto is also very intriguing. Javier Betancourt and so on.

Please be a Garza trade.

Love how much Gatewood's plate discipline has improved this year. Drew two more walks tonight.

Nah. Most likely he will take Wily's spot this Saturday vs. the Cubs. He is due.

This sweet looking inside out swing is why scouts and pundits rave about Ray

The Thornburg trade is getting better by the day. Shaw has exceeded my expectations thus far, Dubon is raking, and we have yet to see what we have in Pennington or who the PTBNL is.

I know. This is why I give Stearns the Diaz mulligan. You can't get everything right all the time, obviously, and that was a legit egregious mistake imho. BUT, jeez, Thornburg had been so up and down w/ injuries his entire Brewers career. He's nearing 30. It was just a no-brainer decision. And, the fact they targeted Dubon speaks volumes for our scouting staff. The kid is a riser. And, Shaw has been tremendous all things considered. I give the trade an easy Brewers victory given the reality of the situation at present w/ just Dubon and Shaw. Pennington and the PTBNL are just another lottery ticket.

Cooper Hummel (C, U. of Portland 18th round 2016 draft) debuts for Carolina today with a hell of a performance and a soft cycle: Everything but the single - but a walk. I'd say we're sitting pretty damn good w/ Catching depth.

EDIT:

Ponce went 7 deep in this game and continues to just put in quality starts w/ K's and good groundout to pop-fly ratios.

Well, the answer to: 'What will Stearnsy do with the additional International Pool money he received from Baltimore?" is answered.

That's one big kid at 6'6 220. Wonder where they are going to start him out at. Has to be tempting to try him at pitcher being a lefty with a 93 mile an hour fastball. Could turn into a real bopper though.

The Rattlers lost last night's tilt, 6-3. But, man, check out pitching prospect Aaron Myers' 8th inning. I really really am curious to follow his journey in the minors. This is the first time seeing him...but, man, he throws a 65 mph change-up in his mix! I mean, I don't know if I've every seen a Brewer prospect like this:

Supak with 42 strikeouts and 7 walks in 30 innings this year. Getting him alone for Rogers would've been a steal. Getting Broxton on top of that? Lol

The logjam in the outfield is ridiculous. Broxton and Santana have been killing it for a while now. We probably don't see Brinson until September at this rate, let alone the other guys biding their time.
