This is what worries me too, although I am excited. If Hammond to ORL is a fait accompli then I will be very nervous about whom is pulling the strings. Let's hope LED have learned from the past few years.

Unless the family's illness forces Zanik to resign, there's zero chance we hire someone else.

Fingers crossed that Zanik fleeces Utah in a Jabari trade after they lose Hayward

I'd feel a lot better about this if Kidd then gets let go once Zanik takes over full time.

Wasn't Zanik set to take Hammond's place, anyway?

No doubt about it.

I want a complete gutting of the front office if Hammond goes from the top all the way to the last assistant coach. It'll hopefully give the new GM a clean slate to build off of. If Zanik makes one mistake I can see any number of people getting in the owners ears. In fact, I can see each owner having a separate confidante within the front office/coaching ranks.

Yup. Only thing that makes me slightly uneasy is if he leaves before the draft and then knowing our entire draft strategy. Almost reminiscent of when Larry Drew left Atlanta and had all that info on Giannis.

I don't know if the Bucks ever officially said that but that was the assumption.

Is it reasonable to assume that every team has analytics department at this point? The likelihood that they're all saying the same thing is probably high.

The differentiating factor seems to be having a 'Jerry West' that can see which players are best and that can conceptualize which grouping of players will win.

Can we have Hammond as his scout?
