He's making great strides on that end sooner than I expected. Billy's gonna be a player.

He does remind me a little of Marc Gasol when he first started.

Much better rebounder though. I can comfortably say that even though Marc is more like ROLO in that he clears for boards. I'll fall back on the defensive criticism. He's showing potential.

You are certainly a childish poster

That's all they do. All they keep repeating is "where are the Melo haters" and they don't realize how childish they are and causing a divide because they don't know how to move on.

I don't like Melo, but he had a great game. He was doing much more of the efficient stuff (catch-and-shoot/PnR) and less of the non-efficient (7-second ISO). My thinking is that it's Hornacek's doing. Hopefully this a trend of things to come.

He was also hustling defensively.

Willy is getting scenarios to succeed. This can do wonders for him and in turn will help the team moving forward.

O'Quinn had 8 pts, 8 rbs, 1 blk in like 16 minutes. Howard didn't stop O'Quinn from going 4/5 from the field.

If we manage to make the playoffs, we would give Atlanta A LOT of trouble. Their only center besides Howard is Muscala, and he was a non-factor today. Their "bigs" might be completely outmatched by ours of KP, Noah, KOQ, and Willy.

Without Teague, the Hawks have put way too much pressure on Schroder. Could they really not keep both for another season? Schroder is good, but I think having to face both Rose and Jennings in a series would be too much for him. They traded Teague to drafted Taurean Prince who is looking like a bust.

The main difference between this game and others is that we played some defense and it resulted in a 104-94 win instead of a 114-104 loss

Good win today, I liked Oquinn's intensity at the beginning of the game, lee very precious O and D. KP and Melo good too. The ball circulation is clearly better with jennings on the floor even if Brandon is too much altruist when he penetrate because lots of time he can finish but he passed and generally we not score after.

In revanch, rose was a disaster tonight, offensively ( a true black hole, no move of knicks offense when he have ball) and defensively. Somes assists which hide his poor game but clearly we are better with jennings in PG.

Now we need to be much consistent outside.

Rose was not a disaster, he started poorly but never quit being agressive. His defense on Scrotum - oops I meean Schroeder was lockdown. Rose could really benefit from a shooting coach. Many of his shots were right there but a Wally pointed out there is no arc.

We're the ones causing a divide? Pretty sure we're not ones bashing melo in every thread saying to trade him and make porzingis the #1 option. That's dividing the team. Melo is balling right now and some of y'all just can't accept that. Y'all root for melo to have bad games instead of rooting for wins. Foh with that bs

They rather have Porzingis around a bunch of losers the majority of his early NBA career like Anthony Davis had/has around him, so in a few years Porzingis will be ready to sign elsewhere.

Who's bashing Melo though? We all know he had a great game. He played great on both sides. I expect Melo to lead the team by example. I will always have higher expectations from Melo for being a superstar player and a veteran.

I thought Marc would be a good rebounder when he first started, he certainly has the positioning to secure them. But yes Billy does have some more toughness down in the paint that I wasn't expecting. Just makes it easier to slide Noah into that Bogut role. Get your starts, set the tone, then let the ballers ball.

a lot of teams give atlanta trouble in the playoffs because they don't have a real go to player. they're one of the best teams at playing like a team but they also have no choice. this gets exposed every playoffs. their bail out option is kyle korver who's somewhat limited.

Teams are focusing a lot more energy on Porzingis which is opening up a lot for Melo. I can take the Melo isos where they are 1 on 1 battles. He can still get that midrange off on good %s vs just about anyone in the league.

Even though he missed a bunch of shots, Rose settled down today and had one of his best games yet. He picked his spots well and got and did a good job finding his teammates. Him playing like he did today will be the key to the Knicks having playoff hopes.

Seeing Willy do work makes me feel a lot much better about Noah's contract.

Very nice win. We're looking more and more likely as a lock for that 8 seed.

There was a play in the 1st qtr that stood out to me.

It was minor, but I loved the way KP posted up Millsap. Probably the 1st time ever KP did that to a true PF. KP set his feet with power and almost dared Millsap to push him off the block. It was like KP just locked him in. I dont remember if KP scored on that play, im leaning yes, but either way its not my point. I just loved the way he performed that post up, needs to do that much more often.
