What's wrong with ESPN boxscores?

I would guess it is just ESPN in general, which is pretty much garbage.

I've switched over to nbcsports.com scoreboards. Sometimes there is a slight delay, but it's the best minimalist no javascript required site left, in the vein of the old Yahoo Sports.

CBS Sports for box scores on my computer (I say this and see they do not have stats for these preseason games, though). I primarily use the Score app on my ipad.

WOW! How long before Mark Cuban goes crazy on the 76ers? I'm guessing he introduces legislation at the board, of no more than a certain amount of consecutive top 3 finishes in the lottery. Obviously because of the wheel-draft talk, teams are sick of systematic tanking.

The NBA's various web platforms have sucked for so long. Incompetence or sadism or both.

I loved their earlier version. Six months ago or so, they also modified it in a way that's not very practical to me. You can only see stats for starting 5. You have to click 'show bench' for each team to see the whole roster. But then, you have to scroll the ish out of it to see the other team. It just doesn't work for me, I want the one that's formatted in a scroll-free way. It's suits my eyes better.

This is how it looks on my laptop atm

I think they're just pandering to their audience. IMO majority of their visitors are using mobile devices so they simply don't care about desktop reading experience.

I feel so old when I have to explain that I love to browse on my laptop and not my phone. Sadly, I'm in minority. It's almost considered primitive these days.

NBA.com is just as bad on mobile as it is on a laptop. Feels like it was designed by a consortium of clickbait bots and Chinese spammers.

Warriors-Clippers 1st half recap...

EDIT: Not even halfway thru the 3rd, Warriors up 50. Five-Zero. Not a typo.

Felt bad for the Clippers. Golden State completely humiliated them on national TV in a preseason game.

Horrible to watch if you aren't a Warriors fan.
Handsome.

I'd love to see Portland knock off the Warriors in the playoffs. ET looked decent in his Portland debut. Saw some of the game where he knocked down a very deep 3. I had to blink as I wasn't sure it was him at first.

I have one opinion, I'm not willing to see the other side of the argument, and I'm going to shove my agenda in your face in as many threads as I can all season long! Yes!

I really hope your right. Your optimism is infectious to me sometimes. I'm still cautious about Jaylen Brown. He's ours now, so I'm 110% behind him, but those thoughts keep creeping up on me with what if. One thing I liked a lot, was when Jae Crowder said he thought Brown would be like Stanley Johnson. That was cool, cause Johnson is a beast only after 1 year in the league. I know the Celtics had a lot of interest in him.

The Bing Sports app on my phone shows full player stats in the box scores. The Score app on my ipad won't show stats for the preseason games. Neither give a post game summary right now, but not many places care about preseason post game write ups.

I guess I should have written in green font? Don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of Jaylen, but I'm really refering to JRob's endless amount of posts of how Ainge has screwed the Celtics over for generations by drafting stash Euros and trading two second round picks for a 1st. It's nauseating.

Funny thing is he doesn't even follow his own matrices in his never ending pursuit to shine the light on us heathens. Now he's trumping Kay Felder, when if you look at all the reports, mocks, and data Demetrious Jackson was far and away a better point guard prospect? It's likely due to the fact that Felder is the only rookie (aside from Zubac) who is going to play any minutes this season. Whatever the ignorance engine must chug on!

I like Felder a lot, but let's not act like the board wouldn't have had a meltdown if Ainge drafted another undersized guard.

Return to Boston Celtics
