LaVine with a few Kobesque moves. Dieng is rusty as hell :)
P.S. We need more shooters.

I tried talking to the NBA online chat help, and he said it's possible no one is recording at the arena. How are you guys watching it? Anyone else able to watch these games on nba.com?

How was you able to purchase team pass? It shows only league pass premium and monthly version for me.

Hey, do you remember Dougie talking about the team looking at backup PG options and everybody being so surprised?

Looks like they do need one, otherwise Thibs will run Ricky into the ground. Dunn looks like a rookie. Tyus is not ready physically to play defense the way Thibs wants.

They need to change the starting unit if thibs cant get them to show improvement.

They were horrible defensively last year and they looked just as bad against the hornets. This group can score, but they cant stop anyone.

Wait, was this game even broadcast anywhere? I thought it was all dark...

I feel like Dieng is going to get benched some time this season. Always felt like he wasn't consistent enough play to play to be starting and I don't think Thibs is a guy who is going to tolerate some of his very questionable decisions.

Bjelica gives the starting unit much needed shooting and scoring, but now wolves get even worse at rebounding.
Aldrich makes the team better defensively and at rebounding but his deficiency on offense is going to make KAT, LaVine, and Wiggins the only threats (LaVine and Wiggy are inconsistent scorers also).

I think it is safe to say a legitimate frontcourt partner for Towns isn't on the roster currently. Maybe trade Dieng and Shabazz for starting 4 this year?

Bjelica is not worse rebounder than Dieng. He is active defender as well. If he avoids unnecessary fouls he might be our starting 4.

I like Bjelica best as our starting PF.

Eh I think he's too finesse to be a rebounder with this unit. I would not like to see KAT going 1 on 2 doing the dirty work down low. Just don't see Bjelica as a guy who can box out many PF/C (Dieng isn't good either but he's taller, longer, and more athletic). I'd expect him to get pushed around and make very little impact on defending the rim or getting position for boards

Bjelica is needed to help out Dunn run the second unit. If the idea is to improve defense and rebounding then Aldrich is the only guy who can help here.

But it's only 2 preseason games and people need to relax and don't tell Thibs what to do.

The middle section on this page: http://www.nba.com/leaguepass

Allows you to pick a team for $120.

We held the hornets starters to 15 points in the 1st quarter. Then they scored 32 in the second (where we were playing our 2nd line up) and we went to the 3rd 7 points ahead.

Then the starters returned and lost the lead with 6:33 left in the 3rd. The Hornets shoot 5/9 from 3 and 6/10 from 2 in that period. We went 1/7 from 3 and 4/14 from 2, allowing 32 points again. Our defense wasnt very good, but I think it was our offense who loss the lead yesterday.

However, is the second game, in the preseason where our starters were benched to rest, playing hockey subsitutions, and our second unit has 3 new players. It will take some time to get it going and to have a full-time hard nose defense.

Defensive potential of Towns-Dunn combo is very promising.

This is overreaction. Hornets lost three preseason games before this one, so they played their regular rotation or as close to it as they could this time of year. Rubio getting into foul trouble also didn't help.

And to think people thought I was insane for not wanting the Wolves to trade LaVine in the offseason (yes I know it's one game and preseason at that, but those of you who wanted to trade him will be eating crow soon enough :D )
I want to move back to Minnesota, I miss it sooooo much!

Yeah, I think people are overreacting. It's pre-season, enjoy it for what it is; a preview, nothing more, nothing less.

Second Game. Nothing to care about. Especially given the horrible shooting %
