I understand people having a negative opinion of Drew, but he has a lot more basketball smarts than Sanders, and Udoh offers nothing offensively. Henson can't develop fast enough.
Anyway, I just wanted to see what was going on with him. The Bucks are playing some exciting ball this year, I'd feel more comfortable tuning in if they traded Monta Ellis (my least favourite player ever).
Drew Gooden does not have alot more basketball smarts than anyone in the NBA. The guy makes dumb play after dumb play every game. He is terrible on Defense. He has the skills to be a good offensive player and he looks like it on some nights, but most of the time you just wish he was off the court. He is a good passer, when he's not throwing it into the stands. Also his negative impact on Defense far outweighs what he brings on Offense. Larry Sanders has 13.5ppg 7rpg and 3bpg, 81%FG off the bench in his first two games. His defensive impact is huge. He fouls alot. But he affects the game in a great way for our team. His defense far outweighs Drew Gooden's offense. His restraint on taking poor jump shots and just finishing off rebounds or when he's open down low has shown that he is growing as a player. He is far superior to Gooden. Udoh is not that great. But he plays defense. For a team that has looked as fluid as we have on the offensive side since the trade, we need some strong defenders. Gooden sometimes looked good in the offense after the trade last season. But he was by far the worst defender on the team and was a big reason why we couldn't stop anyone. We need more Defense and less Offense from the 4/5 when we have Jennings, Ellis, Harris, Dunleavy, Udrih, and Lamb playing at the 1-2-3. All offensive oriented players.
