I understand people having a negative opinion of Drew, but he has a lot more basketball smarts than Sanders, and Udoh offers nothing offensively. Henson can't develop fast enough.

Anyway, I just wanted to see what was going on with him. The Bucks are playing some exciting ball this year, I'd feel more comfortable tuning in if they traded Monta Ellis (my least favourite player ever).

Drew Gooden does not have alot more basketball smarts than anyone in the NBA. The guy makes dumb play after dumb play every game. He is terrible on Defense. He has the skills to be a good offensive player and he looks like it on some nights, but most of the time you just wish he was off the court. He is a good passer, when he's not throwing it into the stands. Also his negative impact on Defense far outweighs what he brings on Offense. Larry Sanders has 13.5ppg 7rpg and 3bpg, 81%FG off the bench in his first two games. His defensive impact is huge. He fouls alot. But he affects the game in a great way for our team. His defense far outweighs Drew Gooden's offense. His restraint on taking poor jump shots and just finishing off rebounds or when he's open down low has shown that he is growing as a player. He is far superior to Gooden. Udoh is not that great. But he plays defense. For a team that has looked as fluid as we have on the offensive side since the trade, we need some strong defenders. Gooden sometimes looked good in the offense after the trade last season. But he was by far the worst defender on the team and was a big reason why we couldn't stop anyone. We need more Defense and less Offense from the 4/5 when we have Jennings, Ellis, Harris, Dunleavy, Udrih, and Lamb playing at the 1-2-3. All offensive oriented players.

I like Barbosa too much. A small part of me is hoping we trade Rondo at the deadline for a Tyreke Evans/ THomas Robinson package. I don't think we look like we're able to beat the Heat as constructed.

Do you see the Bucks making the playoffs? You look like a solid frontcourt player away, and a Monta Ellis trade away!

You clearly haven't watched him play. Offensively he is fair, but is a black hole. Defensively he is non-existent. Literally not even there. Its like when the ball changes position he turns into the blue ghost from Pacman.

One of our positives through 2 games is that he hasn't sniffed the floor. That doesn't tell you enough?

Barbosa is garbage, but I'd give you Gooden for his expiring deal. If you like Tyreke we'll give you his mini-me clone in Ellis, and Gooden can miss long 2s as good as TRob. I'd take Rondo in a heartbeat, easily my favorite player in the league which says a lot since I hate the Celtics.

Ellis is horrible. Easily the most overrated player in the league.

Last seaso nI was hoping we would trade Rondo and filler (maybe Green or O'Neal) for Bogut and Jennings. It seemed fair to me.

Ellis is bad but Tyreke Evans is good? You really should've called us earlier on the Rondo for Bogut+Jennings deal, I think we even would've let you keep Green to make that happen. Tell you what, we'll give you Jennings+Gooden for Rondo+Bradley, sound good to you? lol

Huh? I always slip up pressing the space bar too quickly pushing the last letter often back into the start of the next word. It's a real bummer to watch for sometimes when it actually creates two new words that the spell checker won't pick up on.

I can see I'm being clowned for liking Gooden as a rotation player. Hopefully he can fit in somewhere and prove you all wrong. He wasn't too bad for the Spurs (other than being eliminated in 4 games, okay, I see the pattern). I didn't realise that he had played for 9 out of 30 teams in the league. He's 31.... by the time he retires in 5 years or so, he could have played for half of the teams in the NBA.

I think for a guy like gooden to be successful in the NBA and correct me if you think im wrong. Also keep in mind im talking like best case scenario for only Gooden in mind.
He'd have to be on a team of starters that are very good defensively but struggle offensively and he'd be the 6th man coming off the bench to come in to apply some decent offense.

He may have been a good sub for Iverson's Sixers that went to the Finals.

I see Gardner tweeted out that Gooden took another 0 for. I can't imagine Gooden stays happy very much longer. He seems to be cheering along on the sidelines right now, but I'm guessing that wears off as the season gets into the grind. I thought he'd get garbage time last night.

At least Skiles is making me look good when I said all offseason that I didn't think Gooden would play much. Crap, I jinxed it...

Gooden could bring more to the floor than Udoh has been bringing. Most of us on this board could too.
