now need to re-sign Terry
then keep the best pre-season guy Alan Williams? Christian Wood?

woods looked terrrible, but williams was a beastly rebounder...we need a rebounder like williams

the dui brought down his value like a mug to be traded for trash, AND WE GOT A 2ND ROUNDER! morey has inter-dimensional powers, its the only logical explanation.

maybe finally we'll see some pick and rolls where harden doesn't bounce it off somebody's foot.

can't wait to see how the ty-tjones/dmo/howard pick and rolls work.

Failed Trade Scenario
Sorry, but this trade does not work
Due to Houston being over the cap and having a post-trade Team Salary over the Tax Threshold, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston could not receive more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did not happen here.
Due to Denver being under the cap and choosing to invoke the Cap Room rule, Denver could not go over the cap by more than $100,000 of post-trade Team Salary, which did happen here. Also, Denver met the requirements of the Hard Cap rules of staying under the Tax Threshold plus $4M for adjusted post-trade Team Salary.
This trade failed to meet the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Yeah I checked it out too, I'm surprise this trade was pulled off seeing the numbers don't work. It's gotta be something not out there that's public knowledge in terms of the contracts, because every site I checked says it don't work. But props to Rocket management for pulling it off.

new cba rule

Code: Select all

Non-Taxpaying Teams
Outgoing salary   Maximum incoming salary
$0 to $9.8 million   150% of the outgoing salary, plus $100,000
$9.8 million to $19.6 million   The outgoing salary plus $5 million
$19.6 million and up   125% of the outgoing salary, plus $100,000

it is 150% + 100k

I think the KJ, Brewer and BEV deals are not finalized. So once the trade is done contracts will be submitted soon after.

Will miss Papa & Prigs

Why?? Those two were maybe the worst Rockets in a long term and among the worst performers in 2015 NBA season.

Papa: 19mpg, 35% fg, 29% 3pt, 4.2 ppg, 7.8 PER, 0.029 win/48
Prig: 17mpg, 34% fg, 27% 3pt, 3.0 ppg....

Prigs came up huge vs the Clippers. Don't think we come back from 3-1 deficit without his hustle.

Papa is good.
Prig is cap relief.
Johnson supposedly has potential. (I never saw it)
Dorsey ... looks like Dwight Howard? Maybe they got confused.

I was a big fan of Denver for a few years under Ujiri. Hopefully they get their GM situation figured out again soon.

Curious - who on the roster is considered the locker room leader? Not necessarily the best player or anything, but I'm curious who is the leader in the locker room that other guys listen to. Back when the Nuggets made noise in the playoffs, it was Chauncey (not Melo), but they haven't really had that guy in recent years. That's been horrible for Ty, because I think he needs a strong locker room voice to take pressure off him, and ultimately, hold him accountable to the team.

The HOU lockerroom culture will be good for Lawson, just need a someone to keep him in-line. Morey is a heckuva GM, just keep that pitbull away from my Nuggets, he got his bone from us already .
