Because it's a common thing when it comes to lifestyle of a professional athlete. We don't live in that world. For them, it comes with the territory, so it's no big deal. Which is why it's taught in the rookie orientation.

Honestly, if that triggered him being worried about her claiming rape, then I think it says that there is a "grey area" as to what he believes happened that night. If nothing wrong happened, I don't think that odd text would be nearly enough to trigger a fear of being accused of rape. Just my opinion. I don't think it looks good for him that he said that. There's a reason Doe's lawyer perked up. He's back in the game after it looking like a lost cause.

disagree. this is a high profile pro athlete with 100m+ net worth. if girl you just ran train, who seemed fine all night, was orchestrating the gangbang etc, is all of a sudden is texting you "hey burned my hand, i was sooooo wasted hehe" that's at least going to raise some flags. There are enough horror stories around of false rape accusations. i'm saying there's a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why that was rose's response.

Maybe. It just gave me a double take as to why that text would give him suspicion. To me, its giving off that he felt that with Doe self-inflicting herself would blame it on Rose. BTW, is it suspicious that she was still cohesive after the night in question?
