Add another 30mpg big without touching those eight assets, and we'll be in business. (You all know my target by now. If not, hint: he had 10/16/4/5 tonight.)

I agree with your overall sentiment, but I think Rozier has a chance to be a player. He's already a safe defender, most nights he is going to be in the right spot. He doesn't hawk the ball yet like Smart, but he could get there. Offensively he has great handle, and there was a point in the game tonight when he was matched up against Udrich that the team wanted him to assert himself offensively, but he is still too tentative. Rozier drove it once and hit a sweet three, but in total not enough offense for a kid who could likely provide it. I'm not saying he's untouchable, but I do like the player that he's developing into.

No, I agree; I'm quietly at the front of the Rozier bandwagon. I am always tempted to include him and the Memphis pick as pieces of serious potential, but, there's a balance to be struck - put too many assets in the "core" category, and there's nothing left to make a deal with. Too few, and you're being reckless. Trying to strike a balance of being willing to give something to get something, while not letting any of the big denomination chips go...

This might be lowkey play of the game. Brad Stevens gotta get partial credit for this win.

SVG knew he made a mistake. Point, set, match to WunderBrad.

According to the Detroit Free Press' Vince Ellis, Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said he took out Drummond with 30 seconds left because Baynes is "really good" at the play the team ran to tie the score. But in a nifty play call from Van Gundy, all Baynes did was set a pick and roll to the hoop while Smith found Tobias Harris for a 3-pointer.

"As it turned out, quite honestly, I'm not sure Aron's part didn't really have a lot to do with it," Van Gundy said. "I'm kicking myself right now. If he'd been in the game, we probably get the rebound and we probably are still playing (in overtime) instead of talking to you (the media). Not that I don't enjoy talking to you guys, but that could have waited another 45 minutes."

Anyway. Good win against a good team, especially at home. Got to go Horford. Smart and I.T get some puffs out of it too.

The kid already has better form on his jumper than I ever did!

I find this interesting. He had 3 shots rim out. His misses look a lot more reasonable than the gross bricks he was throwing up in preseason and last year. A thing with Smart is that he might have a higher % on unconventional shots than straight up catch and shoot situations. You've kind of got to let him loose and figure out what he can be on offense while at the same time not letting him go too crazy. There's a big balance to be found. Maybe it'll be like Sullinger when the green light on 3s became maddening after a season and a half, but I don't think you can completely put the shackles on him. Down to .376/.308 now.

This team would be awesome with a big..any big. What we have now is a collection of crap with jerseys on.

I agree but the Celtics only have 5 main players (IT, AB, Jae, Smart and Horford).

If we get Boogie we will need KO because the bench will be too thin. We can dump him in the offseason.

By the way, this baloney that ours bigs don't rebound because they are boxing out so our guards get the rebound was dismissed last night.

Horford didn't have any problems grabbing 11 rebounds. Celtics other bigs just plain suck just like I expected.

I'm tired of seeing the 7' KO just stand in the paint as rebounds sail over his head. He had prime inside position on one play last night and never even looked up for the rebound. :curse:

Brad benched KO for Zeller in the middle of his shift. Same old story with him. He can't match up against tough, physical frontcourts. Pisses me off that we've thrown away so many minutes developing him and Sully, it's gotten us nowhere.

Game had better ball and player movement than it had prior, but still not a thing of beauty. Still work to be done, starters and reserves.

I don't mind trading KO. He's not good enough to consider a main player, imho.

KO isn't that good. I don't get why people include him as part of our core or part of our top 6-7 players.

He had had so many chances to win a starting job since his rookie year and he hasn't seized the opportunities.

It's obvious we need a big upgrade over Amir and that upgrade is currently not on this roster.

KO and core don't belong in the same sentence. Counting down the days till hisnsoft ass is off the roster

X100!

The big a quality big other than Horford period. I loved that Brad pulled him in the second half after KO player 2-3 minutes. That missed rebound with no one around him, the ball landing in his hands then going out of bounds was the last straw.

Nice win. Pistons are a good team. Once they get Reggie Jackson back, they are going to be a tough team to beat in the East.

Horford was great but we still need another legit big for us to make a run in the playoffs.

I get it that everyone else voted Horford.

Smart gave himself up completely to get us that win.

The guy is fearless and doesn't give a crap about his own well-being, just why he's probably injured so often.

He kept the ball alive.

No question Smart was a big part of the win. Played defense, rebounded, kept the game alive. But 1-9 shooting, he's got to shoot better than that.

I felt like Jerebko was just as good if not better off the bench in this one. Finally Jonas had a good game.

Horford had a strong overall game. Defense, offense, rebounding, passing.

I'd be happy if we could get a bad big, I'd be leaping for joy if we could get a mediocre one.

If KO gets shredded by Drummond, is that KO's fault or Brad's fault?
