"Weapon Y" - The ESPN Magazine/Marvel Comics crossover

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Fri Oct 22, 2010 2:27 am

Let's just get this out of the way real quick before we start: the fact that ESPN picks the Rockets to finish 11th in the West clearly identifies them as buffoons of epic proportions.

Their idiocy in basketball takes a back seat in this post, tho. ESPN, which is owned by Disney...who also owns Marvel Comics, has given us some fun artwork for the upcoming NBA season where each team is drawn on a comic book cover which is a homage to an existing Marvel Comics cover.

Here is the Rockets entry:

Love it. Also love this one, even tho it is cold as hell!

Seriously...that's just freaking brutal.

And here is Kobe as the villain Thanos:

Lots of fun images in here:

Man. Thanks for find these--I know the covers were up on Insider, but if they're available for free elsewhere on the site, the mods can't lock this! :D
Hello ladies. Look at your posts. Now back to mine. Now back at your posts now back to MINE. Sadly, they aren't mine. But if your posts started using Optimismâ„¢, they could sound like mine. This post is now diamonds.

Ok this is pretty Awesome. I saw them do the same but they put Marvel in the Tron Universe. We have one of the best covers.

I'm not going to pretend I'm a geek. I try though. Isn't Kobe supposed to be "The Mandarin"? Y'know accumulating rings and all.
