The "Hammer" of the Game Awards 2010/11 - cumulative results

Post#1 » by fatlever » Wed Oct 27, 2010 3:27 pm

After each game will will vote for the Hammer of the Game Awards (Bobcats players only). The voting will be open for 24 hours after the end of each game (or longer if i am being lazy). Fans from the opposing teams are encouraged to vote, just remember the vote is for the best Bobcats (even if your team beats us by 30).

Points
3 = best player of the game
2 = second best player of the game
1 = third best player of the game

Player with the most points gets a gold hammer, player with the second most points get a silver hammer and the player with the third most points gets a bronze hammer. In the event of a tie, both players will be awarded the higher hammer for win and the lower hammer for losses. If two players tie for a bronze in a loss, only the gold and silver will be awarded (I just cant justify 4 hammers for a loss).

Gold Hammer = 3pts
Silver Hammer = 2pts
Bronze Hammer = 1pt

- Votes must be clear and follow the points listed above with 3 being the best (and so forth)
- Votes must have a best, second best and third best. If you do not list 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list more than 3 players, your vote will not count. If you list a tie, your vote will not count. Votes for anything other than our players, will not count.

So it would appear there was four pretty obvious tiers this season?

70+ = two players
50 - 60 = three players
19 - 30 = four players
0 - 19 = everyone else

Games played should probably come into it to though?

Augustin = 82
Jackson = 67
Diaw = 82
Wallace = 48
Henderson = 68 (30 as a starter)
Thomas = 41
K.Brown = 66 (50 as a starter)
Mohammed = 51
Livingston = 73
Carroll = 54
D.Brown = 41
DJ White = 24
Cunningham = 22 (18 as a starter)
McGuire = 52
Najera = 31
Temple = 12

Hammers/82 games :

Wallace : 91
Augustin : 89
Jackson : 87
Henderson : 64
Thomas : 60
Diaw : 55
K.Brown : 32
Nazr : 32
Cunningham : 32
White : 31
Livingston : 21
Carroll : 20
D.Brown : 18
Temple : 14
McGuire : 8
Najera : 5

I might also adjust these per36 for fun, even though advanced Hammer stats are pretty pointless anyway.

Only reason Diaw rarely wears suits at games is because of his total lack of physicality on the court and his lack of "hops" or athleticism.

If he played with reckless abandon every night, his nickname would be The Reckless Frenchman.
