celtics interested in mike dunleavy?

Post#1 » by Datruth345 » Wed Dec 7, 2011 6:12 pm

I work at the airport, just met him checking in to fly home
didn't know he was a fee agent until after I said hi, so I didn't think to ask him
nothing confirmed, just a guess....thought I'd pass it along for whatever it's worth

edit: there is no way he is 6'9 either

A. Sherrod Blakely: A player that's on the #Celtics radar we haven't talked about at all ... former #Pacers forward Mike Dunleavy jr. Your thoughts? about 16 minutes ago

he's not a bad ballhandler for his size and he can score . gets overpowered defensively . would be someone to think about , we need scoring , but his "d" would have to improve drastically . probably be to expensive for us . maybe he'll play for chump change .

Haha... the Celtics need guys with some upside on minimum deals. Dunleavy, Redd, I am sure Ainge will take a look at a few guys in that class.

guys, get real here. if we can find some bench players for the minimum who won't embarrass themselves on the court, we should be happy. dunleavy may be a bust as a high draft pick, but he would be a damn solid pickup for our bench at low $.

We could really use his scoring and ball-handling off the bench. I wouldn't mind pairing him with Avery Bradley in garbage time. Let Dunleavy play a point-forward role on offense and AB guards the 1 on defense.

Dunleavy isn't half-bad when he's health. Excellent shooter, decent playmaker.

I'd like Dunleavy Jr. if he's willing to sign for the league minimum.

We need bodies and we need bodies willing to sign for cheap.

If you want Al Thornton over Mike Dunleavy, then you need to do a bit more research. This team needs intelligent basketball players that know how to play winning, team-oriented basketball. Thornton is bouncing around the league like a cheap whore for a reason....and its not because he's not talented.

I don't get Al Thornton and Jason Richardson in the same breath. Jason Richardson is like taking home the hot girl, she might be a little crazy but hot, Al Thornton is like getting real drunk and thinking you went home with the hot girl and she is standing up peeing.

Now Mike Dunleavy Jr is like getting back with your ex girlfriend. Yeah its cool at first but pretty quickly you remember why she was your ex girlfriend.
