If we are indeed going to deal with Houston, we will be waiting until the end of next week since the Knicks need to make a decision on Lin and then the Bulls will need to make a decision on Asik. This will tell the Rockets how much cap space they have and how many contracts they can take back.

Orlando is making a mistake by waiting things up. Houston now might have less flexibility in taking back bad contracts and there is no reason the lakers are going to bother sweatening their offer when they already have the second best center in the league and have a bigger whole to fill which is their bench. Are they forgetting that teams arent going to be lining up with great trade offers since Dwight as expressed an unwillingness to sign an extension with anyone but the nets? Ihave a feeling offers are going to be worse and worse the longer this drags out. Good luck explaining your fans ehy you have Brook Lopez on the team instead of houstons young players even of most will not amount to much at least you have cap space) or Bynum.

Nothing else of substance - other than possibly a coach getting hired - will happen until a decision is made on Dwight. Once that settles out the floodgate opens on additional deals.
