A little schadenfreude has never hurt anyone

Post#1 » by SuperDeluxe » Mon Jun 3, 2013 3:45 am

Some polite fingerpointing going on in paradise...

After reading the whole article, what I want to know is: What's killing Ray Allen more? The fact that he gets even less touches than Wade and Bosh? Or the fact that his name isn't even mentioned in the article?

If he had just said it was about being shopped in trade rumours all the time and wanting a fresh start then I would probably have a little more respect left for him. But to complain about touches, being moved to the bench etc then go to Miami for less money to get even less touches and be a decoy primarily, good riddance.

As for the article, they will probably be all rosey again when LeBron most likely leads them to a convincing win in Game 7 (though the only thing that makes me happier then seeing the Lakers and the Heat lose is seeing the Celtics win).

Go Pacers indeed. The Schadenfreude doesn't amount to much at all unless the Heat lose this series; Ray has already been on a team with the second-longest winning streak of all time.

And here I was thinking schadenfreude was that thing where everyone secretly wants to slip it to their mom. I know that's derived from that Greek myth but I'm not feeling up to googling what the actual term is and pretending I actually remembered it.

Bathing in the collective tears of Wade/LBJ/#20 is the only reason I'm even kind of paying attention to this postseason. It still bothers me that people actually believe Judas left "for the best chance to win another ring." What a bunch of malarkey. This guy's a petulant child and he spurned us for Miami cause it was the best way to stick it to Rondo/Doc/Danny and whoever's hurt in the process be damned.

Do you guys remember what his actual given reason was for leaving? "Family reasons." Yes, he supposedly took LESS MONEY to move his sick diabetic child far away from both the BEST medical care in THE WORLD & his offseason home in Connecticut. What a noble guy! No need for toilet paper, this guy shats soft serve ice cream (mmmm... chocolatey). He used that "family reasons" line because NOBODY can possibly call him out for it. It's a copout and Pat Riley probably fed it to him.

"Reserved" DOES NOT directly translate to "Classy," which I feel is what a lot of people are missing with this jabroni. You don't have to be loud and overtly obnoxious to be a narcissist and this turkey is living proof. Even if he does win a ring all that proves is that he's got a solid grip when he's grasping LeBron's coattails. I've seen NO evidence that this clown has ANY bearing on whether the Heat win or lose.

Go Indy. And Miami is the worst sports town in the country (well.. maybe Atlanta, but that's a legit debate).

Quick aside:

I've rattled off probably half a dozen LENGTHY rants this weekend and while no one has called me out or complained yet I feel you all deserve an explanation. I haven't had a functional computer at my home for the last 18 months. My computer was hit with a virus which my antivirus software managed to mess up even more. Basically, I've gotta back up an assload of files before I can reinstall windows and I've been putting it off because frankly I don't actually NEED a computer other than to more easily talk to you guys and pirate movies/music.

I almost always post here from my phone. It's not listed in my posts because both Tapatalk and the new RealGM app are effin horrible and I'd rather use the crappy default browser. I'll likely put off the PC surgery for another few months because I can and I'm lazy.

Now you know WAYY to much about my tech issues and got a glimpse into just a few of my glaring social problems. I hope I haven't been too much of an inconvenience.

Now in dedication to Jarome Iginla and #20 (got a doll of him too. Don't even worry.):

Anyone annoyed with this kind of stuff.. I don't blame you. Fear not, I'll be back on the android soon enough. Cheers.

EDIT: piercef0rmvp ftw. An and one for you, sir.

EDIT2: That videos supposed to start 54 seconds in... I guess you can't do that for embedded videos? No matter, Mel Brooks should be appreciated whenever possible so just watch the whole thing. Just know it was meant to start at 0:54. Hence the stupid location referencing pun.

Oh how the opinions have shifted. Remember when rondo was being blamed for ray leaving? Truth is ray is an arrogant piece and belongs in Miami. Rondo and ray where both almost traded in a combined trade but thankfully it didn't happen and we still have rajon.

Ray being a bitter b**** is not news to Celtic fans. Kg, pierce and rondo know a lot more than reported. Trades are a part of the game. You see what rondo did after he was rumored to be traded soon, he put up video game stats. Ray should back up his whining with his game.

Heat fans sound like Celtics fans did last year during the playoffs.

Geez man, you can buy a nicely functional PC running WinXP on 2 GBs of ram for like $50 on craigslist...

Also, most anti-virus software is a sham. Paying attention to the programs running on your computer, and browsing the net without javascript when possible, are the best ways to avoid trouble. And when you hit trouble, system restore in safe mode will fix almost anything...

Was about to post that. Pacers are playing well and I am surprised this series has gone to 7 games. The Pacers have virtually no shot of winning tonight. Nor do the spurs either when the finals start on Thursday. I do like reading about a little turbulence when it comes to the heat however none of this matters too much because the heat are going to win championship anyway and all will be forgotten.

I think Wade simply doesn't like being Robin. That team was **** a brick in game 5 before Lebron bailed them out in the 3rd quarter. Wade is significantly hurt, but he's been moping. Bosh is getting tossed around like a rag doll by the Pacers big and has shrunk and shriveled all the way out to the three point line. I don't know what Wade told himself when the Heatles united, probably convinced himself Lebron and he would be equals, but that wasn't happening; he was always going to be the lesser light. It reminds me of Ray/PP/KG coming together except Miami doesn't have a guy like KG who is naturally self-effacing. The constant talk of Ray's sacrifice, I noticed was similar to some of the rhetoric I've heard from Spoelstra in the previous season regarding Bosh. Apparently Wade needs the same treatment now.

My OP didn't really come out as I expected: it was all about the trouble in paradise that the article describes. The Ray Allen bit was just an afterthought.

I don't like either LeBron or Wade, so I enjoy these little tidbits that the press is suddenly leaking (a little schadenfreude of their own!). I don't wish them bad, but I rejoice when I see these cracks surfacing, which means that their egos could get in the way of winning.

Bosh, on the other hand, is a stand-up and very likable guy -- I used to work as a paralegal and as such became aware of a couple very selfless things that he did away from the spotlight and without any fanfare (some court case he won). No inflated ego at all. He deserves good things coming his way.
