Help Sham? Is Jordan Crawford RFA or UFA?

Post#1 » by Jammer » Mon Dec 16, 2013 1:12 am

Call out to Sham for a clarification.

Sham's website, http://www.shamsports.com in the UK lists Jordan Crawford as a Restricted Free Agent with a qualifying offer this summer of 3,206,867.

Elrod Enchilada's article http://basketball.realgm.com/article/23 ... anny-Ainge’s-Nearly-Impossible-Mission

says that Jordan Crawford will be an Unrestricted Free Agent.

Sham, could you please clarify?

all credible sources I can find say RFA, which makes sense because he was in 2010 draft.

brackdan70:

Yes,

www.shamsports.com

ESPN

hoopsworld.com

sheridanhoops.com

all list Crawford as an RFA

That's why Elrod's article saying Crawford is UFA is surprising.

Elrod made a mistake...not sure it deserves a thread.
Folly. Persist.

We're all strawmen here.

thanks ryaningf.

But ESPN, hoopsworld.com and sheridanhoops are probably just copying Shamsports.com

So, Sham (the venerable Mark Deeks - writer, humorist and NBAologist extraordinaire) is the man when it comes to these things.

Sort of surprised me that Elrod would disagree with four such prominent sites.

probably just a goof, it happens. I can't see how he could possibly be a UFA

He's actually on here as of recently. Hangs out in the CBA thread a bit.
