He looks incredible, meanwhile the guy the Cubs gave up has an 8 ERA in A+ ball (I think he'll be turn out fine though). Busch was rumored as a White Sox target but they didn't pull the trigger. They traded a different pitcher ranked similarly as Jackson Ferris for a different position player though, Dominic Fletcher, an outfielder that can't hit and whose crowning moment as a Sox has been "oops"ing a simple lineout into a two-run homerun.
Our #4 overall pick plays first base though, he's the future of the franchise so you can't acquire guys who play his position. Too bad he's third to last in OPS for qualified first baseman (last is 40-year-old Carlos Santana and second to last is rookie Nolan Schanuel, who skipped the minors). There are 100 minor league contract players who hit better than he does, but I digress...
The only thing about Busch is that I've never seen a first baseman drop so many balls thrown at him. I don't watch the Cubs that often but I've seen him drop easy putouts three different times. I was watching a game the other night and Dansby fielded a routine groundball and threw a slightly off target throw that Busch should've gotten but couldn't squeeze. they charged Swanson with a throwing error lol that has to be upsetting.
