I hated the Knicks, especially when Riley was there. Now, after so much futility from my bulls i sometimes watch other teams, and I find them really appealing now. I miss thibs and never wanted to get rid of him. His style of play endures. I was a fan before Jordan and will continue to be, but boy, we've made some bad decisions over these last 12 years. All that said, burn it down.

Change ownership and then burn it down. Reinsdorf will just put another clueless puppet in charge.

Aside from their point guard being the league's chief flopper yeah the Knicks are playing basketball the right way.

Yeah. I generally felt like Thibs was at all times making the right decisions. The only time I got annoyed was that Wizards series, where he stuck to his 7.5 man rotation. Of course in hindsight, that series was hopeless as Beal emerged, rookie Snell was as useless as Thibs thought, and Noah was injured (and a shell of his DPOY self), as Nene dominated.

That team winning 48 is perhaps one of the most overachieving tales in NBA history. Geriatric Kirk and Dunleavy starting; amnesty-ready Boozer; waiver wire DJ; zombie Nazr not warranting more than 1 mpg of relief for Noah; pre-Wahlberg Jimmy.

The FO handicapped Thibs by not signing a proper backup PG… (DJ came mid season)… proper backup C… dumping Deng for cash… of course I think they had the right mind to tank if Rose was out again, but give Thibs some mature professionals and he’ll win.

Anyway, firing Ron and eventually Thibs were mistakes. The Bulls found their Popovich. He was able to make any chucking scrub look good (JL3, Brooks, etc.). The guys who stunk were done (or not going to amount). The guys who played well were done. The 48min slam was always a myth - guys he played a lot played better in bigger minutes.
