He is totaly staying at least this year. No way you post that 2 weeks before trading him.

P.S. He probably gets 3/40 in the summer.

In true fashion AKME can't stay focused on one lane and don't want to sell high on Lonzo. No point in doing a rebuild if you don't want to cash in your chips, this FO is utterly ridiculous!

Lonzo Ball just turned 27 years old. He's plenty young enough to be part of our "rebuild" if things align this summer, and even if they don't, his bird rights in FA may be worth just as much or maybe even more than he has as a partial season rental right now.

Agreed. I'd trade him for the right return, but there is no scenario where I'd want to just see him bought out, because it's at least worth exploring a cheap new contract or a S&T in the offseason.

Why would Lonzo want to return to a team that is actively trying to be bad especially knowing that his time frame to contribute to a championship team may be limited? Honestly, I don’t even particularly want him back - he’s great story and has some good games but I don’t see him defensively like he was before his injury and he may actually be too smart to help this dumb team.

We could offer him 5 years and higher raises vs 4 years and lower raises from someone else. Or maybe we'll work a sign and trade.

It would be high risk high reward, but I'd consider giving him like a 5 year MLE which IMO is probably the best offer he'd get.

Great deal for Lonzo and the Bulls.
We probably trade him next deadline as he can show teams he is able to stay healthy and is on a cheap deal for another 1.5 yrs

Also this puts those ridiculous buyout rumors to bed.

I can reveal I'm his agent now LOL .. joke! But good deal for Lonzo and Bulls, logical after what was happening..

Also this leaves all options open going forward - he is still relatively young to play with younger squad, if team is trully horrible and he wishes to go to contender next deadline, his contract will be easily traded for picks.
