Buzelis’ ability to be productive all over the court while still being thin and somewhat raw continues to impress. We finally have our first guy since Rose that you can plainly see his ceiling is a core franchise player.

Which does not mean “the” franchise player. But you don’t have to squint to see a guy who can be a “core 3” player on a contender.

It’s huge to have that prior to even beginning the rebuild. Things could be worse.

I think Duck meant the first rookie who looked to be that level. Which eliminates Jimmy although he should have included Lauri. I mean, a lot of us were talking future All Star about rookie Lauri. His potential was obvious although he did take a while to find that next gear.

I was referring to their traits as very young players not what they evolved into. Butler was clearly a franchise type player, I agree. But he didn’t look like that early.

I did forget Lauri. I think Buz looks better as a prospect but Lauri should have been mentioned. He did show star capabilities early.

9 dressed players, second night of a back to back. Yeah that's gonna be a loss.

I am back to not enjoying even seeing Vuc on my tv. Hopefully he is traded today.

Baby Bulls v2 here we come.

He was getting defensive player of the year votes & the best Bull against Miami in the playoffs (In the Bulls only win he had 21 points and 14 rebounds) in year 2.

I remember it took butler a long time to finally be the guy . Some knew he was going to be a stud from the get go . He was at the time just an easy guy to love he played hard and had desire.

Really good for Jimmy. I’m sure that was exciting and fulfilling for him.

They need him healthy for the play-in, don't over-exert him.

They'd need him healthy for being traded.

Oh ho ho, you still think he's going to be traded?

I'll root for that until the deadline ends.

Jimmy was a defensive juggernaut year one (locking up Carmelo) but he didn't become a guy you could trust on offense until year 4. Everyone thought we had a Brewer replacement but questioned if he was good enough to replace Lu until then.
