This was fun game to watch and we lost, great for draft, but god damn,we are still in play in after losing 8/9 games..

Awesome games from Giddey and Collins, impressive Zach, seems high IQ player.. lets see if he can continue, that it wasnt Sanogo mirage game (22,20).. I would hope Vuc wont play anytime soon.

Giddey is now on other side of 20M per.. he is good and can still improve on D ,but lets not overpay at this stage where we are as team and where we are going.

No movement with the standings. The East is weak this year.

If there were no play in, and the playoffs started today, two East teams would be in despite being under .500.

This is one of several reasons why in the NBA “making the playoffs” doesn’t mean anything.

And those teams will be swept in the “playoffs”

It just drives me crazy when fans talk about making the playoffs. So imagine how infuriating it is for me to see the GM of my team loudly championing that same meaningless accomplishment as the goal.

Even before the comical play-in was added, over 50% of the teams made it. Standing alone it is a meaningless indicator.

Ah, this is another one of my hobbyhorses. Not only do I despise the play-ins, I also have contempt for any seed below #4. Eight playoff teams is more than enough for a 30-team league. To put the matter another way, in 78 years of NBA playoffs, only 5 teams seeded below #4 have ever made the Finals, and only one of them has ever won (the '81 Rockets, which were entirely forgettable fluke team).

Bah humbug. I don't want to be a playoff fraud. Give me Top 4 or give me nothing.

I disagree, making the playoffs is still an accomplishment despite the record. Playoffs is the biggest stage in basketball and even being there should be an honor. Besides anything can happen if you make it.

Remember when Rose tore his ACL? Philly was supposed to be swept but after the injury ended up winning that series. Same can happen now if a star goes down. Look at Miami and Jimmy a couple of years ago, they somehow made the finals.

Under dogs can still win there has been many examples over the years. Everyone has their own opinions on this, there’s fans who wouldn’t even want playoffs even if their team made it to the 2nd round.

Yep. It's all a money grab.

I like a 3 game series 5-8 who then play top 4 teams. 3 game series heighten the intensity.

There basically no chance of us doing anything if we made the playoffs this season except missing out on the chance to draft a difference maker.

That's how I feel too, although if the team was up and coming (young players who show potential) then I'd be okay with a low playoff seed (because I'd feel like there's potential for more).

As it stands the Bulls haven't made the playoffs the past two years and probably won't make it this year either. This is AK's fifth season and if the playoffs are his goal he can't even reach that. Why is he still in charge?

Fwiw, last night’s game was fun to watch.

More than any other individual, Vuc really ruined Bulls basketball. It’s been a pleasure watching a higher energy C. Zach reminds me of when we rented Theis for 2 months. Not a great player, but having a scrappy big is a world of difference.

Then get rid of the play-in and make it harder to get into the playoffs, which in turn makes it more special if you get there (although still not that special considering 16 out of the 30 teams make the playoffs).

I agree that a team could get a lucky break in the playoffs, but you still have to be a team that can take advantage of that. Miami had Bam and Jimmy. The current Bulls team has...Giddey and Coby?

Because I was curious, I did a sort of my Yahoo fantasy rankings for "last 30 days totals"... here was the list

Joker
SGA
Haliburton
Cunningham
Maxey
Thompson
Zubac
Mobley
Duren
Daniels
Reid
Giddey

And I KNOW fantasy stats matter because I'm as good at picking my fantasy team and I am at picking my real NBA team to root for!
