If we target a #1 option via trade this offseason, who would you go after?

C Smith / Collins
F Williamson / Buzelis
F Buzelis / Huerter / Phillips
G White / Terry
G Giddey / Ball

2nd round exit type ceiling as constructed

Zion salary is 39M next season, so Vooch and PWill match that with 21M and 18M salaries, but NO wouldnt want that.. I think they would prefer PWill, Smith and White for Zion

Maybe if you add 2 firsts to that. Can't see Pat, Coby and Smith get us Zion.

Just to test our homerism...would anyone be willing to trade PWill, Carter, Terry and Matas for Zion?

Yikes. Giddey and Zion are both ball handlers who don’t shoot particularly well. Zion and Lonzo will join Derrick Rose and Grant Hill on the Mt. Rushmore of most injured NBA stars ever (even though Zo never made an ASG). No interest in giving up $20M cap and Matas for Zion’s max and health. But also, NOP would demand picks.

Zion and the Bulls seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Plus I wouldn’t trade Matas in a deal for him. I would love to have Zion for the right price but probably pie in the sky.

Would be smarter to continue on rebuilding through the draft and acquiring more assets through taking on a contract or two.
I hate the Chicago Bulls. I miss Derrick, Jo, Taj, Jimmy, Lu, BG, Kirk, Noc….I’ll stop there.

How about Sabonis? There's rumblings that he's going to ask out and we clearly have a good working relationship with the Kings. Plus, it'd be hilarious to reunite Vuc with DDR and Zach.

I admit the pairing with Giddey, post-Lavine has looked good for those 2.

2 names on your list that interest me...both have their flaws, but because of that, they might be gettable with our pick + filler and they might fit as complementary pieces :

Mark Williams - clearly CHA was willing to trade him, although LA backing out is concerning
Miles Bridges - I have him on my fantasy team, and he's having a great season (on a terrible team)...and there's his "incident"

C'mon guys I lit the fuse here...no thoughts on using our limited ammo on either of these guys?

Williams isn't good defensively and had injury concerns before LA backed out. His rim protection numbers aren't good. Only a -2.1% difference when defending shots in the paint this season.

The Hornets being garbage makes Bridges harder to evaluate. He's bad when he's not playing with Lamelo. Does he elevate the team enough to justify trading a FRP for him? After the suspension, the Hornets are better with Bridges on the bench which isn't good considering how bad they are.

We don't have enough defenders to cover for Vuc so Sabonis wouldn't make sense for us. Good player but he's a limited defender and isn't a great scoring threat.

Which honestly is probably a better approach than our current "plan".
I've been clamoring for Zion but this FO just wouldn't do it. He impacts games and is young. Get him out of NO and you'll see a revival.

Draft Stojakovic and trade some guards for depth at the bigs.

Ball
Stojakovic
Buzelis
Williamson
Vuc

Giddey
Phillips
Terry

KC has said recently PWill has very little value and he expects him back next year. So i dont think he will get a big trade done.
