The block and dunk made me want to cry. I still maintain that he would help us more than Duhon right now.

Seems like Pip still has some game. Any know how stiff the competition was? The players (maybe not Gordon) respect Pip's input...maybe he could give us a couple spot minutes as a player coach?

I just have to assume that the competition is poor in Finland. That being said, the block and dunk still looked good. His body looks good. He retired because he was so unhealthy, not necessarily because he was bad. I still think his smarts, long-arms, and overall physical shape would allow him to be an upgrade over Duhon. He looks like he's put on muscle since the last All-Star weekend. He looked like a cancer patient, I couldn't believe how skinny he had gotten.

Well, with Deng's Achilles Injury, if we're trying to contend for decent playoff sport, then why the heck not. Its not like Demetris Nichols is giving us anything in terms of a roster spot. We're still unsure about Thabo this year. Kirk is struggling all around, Duhon can't hit the ocean if he was hovering over it, Noc chucks from deep, and Ben Wallace only plays a great game when its the pisstons. We need some kind of identity, and I'm sure Pip, regardless of his comments, could help by tutoring the young players into becoming better playmakers.

Man, I've had a hard time getting excited about this Bulls team this season.

If they picked up Pippen, even for a few minutes every other game I think my excitement level would skyrocket back to where it should be.

His knees were SHOT in 2004. They won't be any better in 2008.

Truth is he looked old and slow. It was obvious he wouldn't be able to contribute in the Finnish league so how would he be able to play in NBA?

I'm convinced I could get on a Finnish roster.

No offense meant, but it just kills me when people think some long retired player could come back and make meaningful contributions. You don't have to lose too much to be out of the league, even for all time greats. There are the annual Pippen, Williams, Rodman, etc threads on old players who the Bulls should pick up. Why can't they ever be let go. No one else wants them and they are all in worse shape than the Gary Paytons, Darrell Armstrongs, and Dikembe Mutumbos who are barely hanging on or just barely out of the league.

Youtube clips of the old-timers games back in the day and then just imagine Pippen putting up his 12 points and nasty dunk on Red Kerr or Oscar Robertson. It is a happier place.

Well in my defense, I was talking about him being an upgrade over Duhon's 2 points per game and .0008% FG shooting.
