It is hurting the team. It's killing the team. He has a 0.00 PER at SF so far this.
That said, the season's lost to me, so every minute helps. If it teaches Tyrus to be better playing off the ball, than so be it.
Playing Tyrus at SF is HURTING HIM!!!

While I don't think Tyrus Thomas playing the wrong position is hurting him which I agreed with you. He's been struggling since the start of the season when he plays PF early of the season and as you mention he looks lost and he pick up lot of cheap fouls.
I do however think and still keeping my word that I think Tyrus Thomas is better off at the PF position then at SF. Does he needs to get stronger? Definitely! While they are some other PF's who are undersize/same frame as Tyrus Thomas he needs to bulk more but as I mention I think Tyrus Thomas is better suited at the PF position than the SF.
Is he suited for PF.. Yes.. Ofcourse. It's his natural position. Regarding the strength issue, how many times this year has he gotten into the game and was pushed around to the point where he falls down after a play???
Tyrus gets pushed around easily by the bigger PF's. He takes very bad shots and picks up cheap fouls in bunches. He's still very raw and this year, i've noticed that it's more mental than physical with him. He just doesn't look focused and comfortable out there. He's still young and needs to learn how to do those things right..
What a better way than to learn from Joe, Ben W and Noah.. Noah with 2 college championships is actually ahead of Tyrus right now with respect to progress.
