On Fox news they said there were no injuries reported yet from the Tornado and it appeared to be hopping up and down and not staying on the ground destroying everything in it's path so it skipped a lot of areas in it's way.

Doug, you can tune into Chicago's Fox news there and listen to their coverage.

Yeah that hefty guy has been doing a pretty good job reporting everything. I was watching him earlier.

Glad to hear everyone is safe bobsampson. This seemed totally unexpected.

A tornado touched down in Lansing, IL, River Oaks Mall in Calumet City had it's employees go in the back-room and close the mall down for a while, something they rarely do. I heard there was damage in the Lynwood and Lansing area.

I heard it ripped through the south part of Hammond, IN and Hessville. lucky for me I'm up on the northside of Hammond. I heard there was some damage in those areas from my nieghbor.

Got pretty windy here, rained hard, but no damage in my neck of the woods.

I was watching the Sox game and they broke to report a Tornado Warning for central Lake County in IL.

Stay safe everybody.

I'm in the Northwest Suburbs. I haven't really seen rain up here.

The one weekend I visit Chicago and this happens.

I am sitting in my house in Lake Zurich. It's passed and over with, but the lightening strikes followed by some of the loudest thunder I have ever heard in my life. It felt like the hand of God slapped down upon the land of Lake County and displaced the foundation on which it was built upon.

I went to the River Oaks movie theater in River Oaks with my wife and it felt like my SUV was about to get blown over. Heavy rain and powerful winds i couldnt see anything in front of me . The wind kept blowing harder and harder . Thank God we got there safe the Suv was rocking.
